This little camera takes great pictures..... much better than the pics on my smartphone. Not sure about the MP.

According to the user guide for this camera on VTech&#39;s site, the image resolution is .3 MP. With current technology. why bother to offer such a small MP? Makes no sense.

The video resolution is acceptable for a great many uses . It is not high res but still adequate for pics and vids with the optional mini sd card in it . Without the mini sd card in it the resolution is quite grainy . Answer = Buy a $7 mini sd card and it will do the job just fine for even an adult . For kids it is awesome . I carry it in my pocket and have it handy to make vids of my Fainting goats . Worked out well for me . I don&#39;t want to carry my $1000 camcorder around the farm so this fit perfectly for my needs .

What about quality of the photos. What MP are they on this Vtech Kidzoom Action Cam?

Thank you for your inquiry. Like with other electronic devices, more frequent usage means the
battery will drain more quickly. Some activities will be more demanding
on the battery, such as photo and video taking. For continuous photo or
video taking, the battery will last for approximately 2.5 hours. For typical
usage, the battery will last around a day. The remaining battery capacity
will be displayed in the right top corner of the screen. When the battery
level is low, it is recommended to recharge the battery before further
use. When the battery level is too low, the camera will not turn on until
it is charged.

It will depend on how you treat it . If you maintain the charge frequently it will probably last 10 years . If you let it drain down completely often it will probably only last a couple years . Battery technology has improved quite a bit in the last few years and I am sure you will lose it or drive over it or just outgrow it before the battery goes bad .

It charges with a USB cord. it claims a battery life of around 2.5 hours, but I haven&#39;t ever used it that long without charging.

If the battery is not replaceable, what is the lifespan?

My son loves it. He can do so much with it. He only too a few minutes to learn how to use it, there are attachments for him to hook it up to things like his bike. Nice and small makes it easy to take anywhere with you. The only thing is I wish it came in more colors.

Great for my kids. The pics are perfectly clear like a nice adult camera but good enough. A lot of fun in the pool and other water places.

Great purchase

The camera is perfect for kids. I honestly keep the waterproof case on it all the time, for extra protection and my kids take the camera everywhere. I love seeing what they created! The Kidizoom is both a camera and video camera in one, and its very easy to know which button to click as there are pictures on the buttons. My kids had this camera figured out before I had everything out of the box. They knew exactly what to push, how to add fun stuff to the pictures, how to play games and they even figured out how to mount it to their bikes by looking at the box! My one son had the idea to tie string on it so they could wear it around their neck rather than mounting it to their bike or something flat. Overall though this camera is awesome for its price of $60. The product has been provided by VTech so I could experience it with your family; however, the thoughts and opinions are all my own.

Fun Camera & Video Camera in One Small Package

Bought this item for my grandson (9 yrs. old). Works great for him. Thinks he has a GoPro. Comes with attachments.

Great for kids.

This was a great find for our grandsons birthday! It was a hit and works well. Comes with a load of attachements and is waterproof to 6 feet! Great product for a pretty good price!

Actually works!

I purchased this for my 4 years old grandson. They go on camping trips and I thought it would be a great way for him to learn to video memories. He was thrilled. I couldn't have picked a better gift. It's easy to use and the quality is good. I did purchase the case as well to keep up with the camera and its accessories. 
Would recommend it to a friend.

Great idea!

My 5 year old granddaughter had one that I purchased for her last Christmas. Now my 3 year old granddaughter wanted one for her birthday. Best gift ever. They put on their bikes and take them along on all of our summer adventures. Comes with a water proof case with a strap.

Amazing

I bought this as a gift for my son who loves to take videos and pictures with my phone. He also has the Camera Connect, but thinks that is too bulky. The quality of the product itself is great. it is small, but sturdy. The picture quality is great for the size of the product (see attached pictures, taken by my 4 year old). The sound quality of videos is sub-par, but for the price of this product, it is understandable. The videos always seem to have a serious whistle from background noise I assume. The waterproof case is also great. I tested it out in my sink with a piece of tissue inside, and it withstood over a half hour of being submerged. I think the one disadvantage, as with any waterproof cases was the droplets of water beading onto the lens area (see attached picture). The biggest perk to my son seems to be the games featured on the camera.

Great product for curious children

This definitely isn't for a toddler 4+ years of age. Kids that age would grow bored of this so fast. My daughter is 2 and she loves it some days, others she doesn't care for it... 

This is sooooo much smaller than I expected. The entire thing fits in the palm of my hand. Maybe 2x2 ... I mainly like that it charges and I don't have to spend money on batteries

I can't really complain too much, because I got it for $13 on sale at my local walmart. But if I'd paid full price, it WOULD be returned by now... 3 stars for the price and the LITTLE entertainment it provides for my daughter... Could of been a lot better.

So much smaller than I thought it would be

I don't understand how people can expect small children to use this. It can be very easily lost, there's a ton!! Of extra pieces you have to figure out and the screen in no more than an inch and a half
