The ball doesn't shoot out. The ball is attached to the blue. plastic base, which you fill with water to weigh it down, by a long rubber string. You hit the ball as you'd hit any tennis ball, and it bounces back to you without the need for an opponent or a wall. Great Training Aid, Love it Great for practicing my Tennis swing when I don't have a partner to hit with .

Perfect to practice tennis

For $10 this is a great item if you are a casual tennis player. Once you fill up the base, it will stay in place and barely moves.
The rubber cord does get tangled up once in a while, but it is not that bad.
The ball is, I think, is the weak link. I play this on the street and not a tennis court. After having used it for about 5 hours total now the ball starts to show a lot of wear. It is not going to be that easy to replace it when it breaks.
In short, if you are a pro. it will be ok. If you buy it for your kids or for yourself to have some fun with while exercising it will be great.
Enjoy and keep on practicing.

It will do the trick

This tennis trainer does what it says. Fill it with water and it weighs enough to stay in place. I expected it to be bigger, but it's big enough - it does the job of staying put while you whack the ball. The rubber band connected to the ball seems a bit thin - I hope it doesn't wear out or break quickly - we'll have to see how durable it is. But overall this is a good little piece of kit for 10 bucks. No regrets about buying it.

Does what it says

We use it every other day, so far so good. I hope walmart store could carry it and has replacement too. I hope they could carry the tennis rebound net too and the tennis feeding machine too. Thanks

The Fill & Drill tennis trainer is surprisingly good at repetitive forehand & backhand practice and varying swing coordination. After about 500 hits, it is still good to go. For $9.96, a definite winner!

While the original ball and elastic band is still good, maybe Walmart.com will consider carrying the three dollar replacement ball and elastic retainer as it is available elsewhere, and the ball and elastic will obviously not last forever.

Fit to hit & hit & hit ....

Got product on time but it has a major flaw, there is no swivel on the ball so the line gets twisted very fast and that makes it hard to keep a volley going and after all, isn't that why you bought this thing. I was disappointed with it before the ball fell off which only took about half hour of easy play.

DONT EXPECT MUCH

On our first time 45 minutes of playing the ball became completely detached from bungee string. Loop on the ball is to small for me to reatach without buying extra stuff to fix it. Cheap dont buy.
