No, the end pieces stick out a couple of inches on each side when attached to the window frame.

Yes, I have no frame work due to new construction and they are for that!

The brackets will fit inside the window, but the rod very slightly protrudes from the window.

The rod only protrudes past my window frame by about 1/2" (if that). I have two windows in a corner that are extremely close to eachother, and these fit nicely without bumping into eachother at all.

No, it extends past the window frame - the ones made like shower rods or with the screw/spring work better for interior. They are made to hold heavier material.

It can only installas seen in the pic. It adheres to the frame and all the rest goes to the side. No way to get around it.

About an inch or so. My rental house has blinds as well and they were mounted poorly, but these rods fit just fine.

When we hung them in my sister's kitchen window, she already had mini blinds up. Worked great for us & we can't tell from looking that they aren't the "drill a hole in the woodwork" kind of curtain hardware. They are staying up well to because we adjusted the tension properly (follow the instructions on the package).

Only the bracket fits inside the frame. The rod sticks out about 1 inch from the wall. I mounted mine over mini blinds also with no problems except the top 1" of the mini blind valance will be visible.

We didn't want to put up screws to damage our walls either and these rods are exactly what we needed easy to use they go in the wall as much as a thumb tact not much damage that can't be covered by paint.

We have blinds, too, and installed them right below the blinds frame, a little light comes in the top, and you can see the blind frame. I think 1/2" would not be enough room unless you installed under the blind frame, which you could probably do.

You need at least an inch. However, could you place it just under and count for the upper 3 inches to cover the blinds top?? The rod fits in a pocket, like most curtain, below the very top.

Only on the inside of the frame - it's a tension-mounted rod.

It installs on the inside edge so that the decorative piece sticks out over the edge. They do tend to slip, but if you want to make them more permanent, there are holes where your can put a nail or screw in them. They don't work well on big windows and any heavy curtains will cause it to sag in the middle.

I LOVE THIS ROD!! IT NEED NO SCREW OR NAILS!! IT LOOKS GREAT TOO, IF YOU LIKE THE SATIN NICKEL COLOR AND THAT IS WHAT I WILL BE USING IN OUR NEW HOME. IT GOES FROM 28" TO 48".

You have to set this and leave it alone, if you fidget with it in any way it comes off, that includes trying to open and close curtains, I did order an additional one, because I like the ease of installation, the look, but it is a bit flimsy, set it and forget it.

Great if you don't want to put holes in the wall. Rod felt a little flimsy, may not hold up to a very heavy curtain. Did the job I needed it too though.

Nice no hardware rod

Have a sun room with 5 windows in it, lots of drapes so wanted something it just cover the windows with hanging rods. These are lighter weight than I hoped for but super reasonable and it's so hard to find tention rods that look like a curtian rod. The drapes I have hanging would have looked out of place with the traditional inside the window frames. Good luck pretty happy

Better than good

This was the cheapest rod i could find. I just moved into a newly renovated house and put up double curtain rods in all my main windows.
I had a fairly small window in the bathroom and wanted a cheap single rod to throw up. I chose this because you dont have to drill and mess the walls up to use it.

To open and close it you have to twist the rod all the way to the end, as if there is a spring inside that it is travelling on and that was the most irritating part for me seeing as i had to do it a few times.
I had a single polyester panel up in the bathroom that you could see through slightly so i took a 59x84 cut it to length and folded it over and run the sewing machine over the top of it just under the stitching for the rod to fit through, so i have 2 curtains hanging from mine.

At first i didn't realise it(even though it clearly says press here) but there are two small nibs sticking out of the part you put against your frame and you actually push those nibs into your wood frame. so its not without damage but i would say minimal damage if you do it right the first time. lol

So it does the job for me for the price, its good. i have no problems as i'm actually using it on its smallest setting but i could see where wider frames would have problems especially with a heavier curtain.

Cheapest rod i could find

If you have curtains that aren't going to be played with or hung on, this light duty curtain rod will adequately span the inside of your window.  The round decorative end-finials are removable for those difficult situations where the window is too close to the wall.  The finial can be removed and the end of the curtain wrapped around the plain end for a finished look up against the wall.  You untwist the rod halves until they span about 1" wider than the inside of the window.  You compress the left and right halves inward against the tension of the internal spring until it fits within the window.  Then position the rod with the hole on top and the flat tab facing downward, flat against the window frame. Release the tension and tap the ends inward, against the window frame so the barb sinks in.   Although the rod seems to hold up with the sharp barb,  using the screw holes will insure that the strong winds or curtain pullbacks don't dislodge the rod, causing you to have to remount it all over again.

Versatile mounting, light-duty curtain rod

This rod is better designed to work with wood. My bath window is lined with marble and the rod would not work. It has a small sharp point that is designed to dig in, which is not possible with marble. This rod may leave marks on wood when the rod is removed, which defeats the purpose of not having to make holes in the first place.
