Decent light yard-work shovel

This is a relatively small shovel and pretty light weight, which works well for me (I'm 5'2). The only concern is whenever I try to break into somewhat hard soil, I feel little snaps where the plastic is connected to the wood. I'm afraid I'd break it if I'm not careful.
