This is setting on my bookshelf which happens to be full of books......and you cant pick out that it's NOT a REAL book. Don't expect this to be a fireproof safe for storing "valuables" in because it is not airtight. But maybe a little rainy day cash.......good idea. Neat little hiding place.

I am very pleased,  satisfied, and content with this book safe. I have filled it with some liquid funds. I placed it together with other books and it looks like a regular book. The feeling of safety and protection has increased drastically. I would recommend this idea for anyone who  is the master of their money and not a slave to their lender. You need to have access to liquid assets just in case there is an emergency in your life or just because you are thinking ahead in life.

Out of sight, out of mind

got two at noon one is acceptable for quality but other one is broken and up cover is two inches apart,. So I hope to replace second one, what do I do next ？please tell me, thank you.

I purchased mine to store my 1911 A1 .45 cal. pistol in while in my home but was disappointed with the quality when I first got it. The extruded white "pages" would not fool anyone at first or second glance. I purchased a gold paint pen and carefully painted the white "pages" and the result was a pleasant "gold leaf" look to the page ends such as found in limited editions and bibles. The fit was very tight for my gun but any pistol smaller would be fine. I opted not to put any fabric in for lining nor much foam for padding. The metal edges were very sharp and not finished very well. I was able to fix this by filing and sanding to smooth the sharp edges. I manages to get some grease splatters on the cover and could not get them out. Even fingerprints showed on the cover and all my attempts to clean the cover showed my efforts. However, the book now looks well worn and not new. The keys work well and are better than most with small locks. I like the fact that two keys are included. I have tested it on several of my friends and most could not tell it was concealing a gun even while touching it, although the weight gave it away. For taking to and from the car, it is perfect as I have a concealed carry license but do not want to carry it on my person. For other things of value, no adjustment is necessary. I am confident a thief would overlook the safe as a book and just hope the robber does not need a dictionary for they could always put the whole safe up and take it with them. Excellent value and walmart had the best price of all sources. At $10.99 you can't go wrong. I was impressed with their order on line and pick up at store service. I went to the Layaway counter and within a minute was given my package, just gave them a signature and left. I will use this service more and more.

Diversion Book Safe takes some work

While the binding looks like a book the page part is molded plastic and can be seen as fake from a short distance unless this is on an upper book shelf that hides that part from view. Having another one of these where the pages look real, I feel this one could use improvement. This won't fool anyone that looks closely.

The cover came damaged. I like the box, itself, though...but I didn't pay for holes in the cover.

Book cover tore after opening it twice.  Cover is literally as thin as a tissue.

Cheap junk

This is my 2nd attempt to buy this safe. The 1st one came damaged on 3 corners and this one came damaged on 1 corner. It was shrink wrapped so the damage was before packaging. This is a gift. I am very disappointed.
