I like the way it keeps the big cat away from the little Siamese ! She is fierce and will defend her space but weighs only 5%23 and he is 3X her size and weight!  The dogs are fine with it and her 😌

Very nice to keep the big cat away

I spoil both species of my fur children. My dogs get free roam of the house so long as they keep out of the cat's room. Yes, I have a room solely for my cats. I bought this gate to keep my one dog from entering the cat's room and wreaking havoc. It's doing the job! I like the method of tightening the gate. It's a lever that you hook into a notch to lock it. I'm using it at the door and it works phenomenally! Would recommend for a pet gate.

Excellent to keep my dogs away from cats!

I like that this Toddleroo baby gate is lightweight, compact, adjustable, easy to use and easy to store. The gray color blends with my decor. Overall it's a great gate.

Great baby gate

This gate is a must have in my house. I like how I can put it up and if I need to close the door I still can. It is easy to put up and take down. It does come with screws if you want to mount it. The simple lift to lock and unlock makes removing this gate a breeze.

Keep baby safe

I bought one to keep our dogs from accessing our up stairs offices, it worked so well we bought another to keep them out of our pantry. Easy to put up and take down in seconds.

Perfect for restricting our dogs access.

If you have molding, this may not work for you depending on what you need it for. Our trim comes out further than the wall and as such, the top stoppers don’t reach the wall, leaving this easy to knock over. However if you slant it a bit, it does hold better. You can put it above the molding and it works great! We have a large dog so this works well because he can’t sneak under it, but if you have a smaller dog then this won’t work well. If you don’t have high molding it shouldn’t be an issue. See my pictures for reference. This is a little harder to slide, I haven’t quite figured it out without maneuvering quite a bit, but I love that when you close the latch it tightens it out a bit further, offering a secure fit.

It works, but there’s a trick to it

This gate is sturdy plastic and well made. It has a cool cranking system to open and close it into your doorway. That is probably my favorite feature because I hate having to open the traditional ones because half the time the bar slides all the way through and splits the gate then I spend 20 minutes trying to slide it around to get it back the right way. This eliminates that. 

You MUST use the little door tabs things- I know I did. This gate would actually not fit one of my doors because my door does not seem to be square and the top corners would slip. The tabs helped with that issue. The only downside for me is the height. It is about 2 inches taller than the traditional wood ones. 

In my situation, I use this in a door that I don't take it down every time I need to go in or out of the room. So, it is somewhat permanent for now. Which means I have to step over it to get in or out. I sometimes lift my 4-year-old over it. This gate being taller, makes it difficult to step over, and I am pretty tall. So, if you are shorter and do the old "step over" instead of taking the gate up and down constantly, that may be an issue for you with this gate.

Neat design

I was disappointed from the moment I took it out the box. It came without any sort of instructions at all - which, once I figured out how it worked (by a fluke) wasn't a problem: the concept is straightforward enough - but it is most unusual to not have some sort of informational sheet or pamphlet.

The experience with it went downhill from there. It only slides open and shut when all three tracks are perfectly aligned, and it's nearly impossible to get them perfectly aligned. The only way I could get it to slide was by setting it on one end and sliding it up and down.

When I set it into my doorframe to note where to put the wall cups, when the lower rubber foot was set flush to the wall, the upper foot had a gap large enough it wouldn't have reached the cup.

It is nothing but an obstacle for any doorway smaller than the max width. Even fully open, there is barely room to squeeze by in a standard doorframe.

It's more useful left in the cardboard box. At least the box is easy to move out the way.
