I purchased  6 of these and we use them all the time. They are made of sturdy thick glass.  I do not have a dishwasher so have to hand wash them. Not sure if customers have problems with them breaking because they are subjected to heating and cooling in dishwasher. Can only review from my situation as hand washing them. They are banging around during washing by my 10 yr. old daughter though!
Only one broke. I dropped it on a concrete floor and it shattered. Which is expected.
Otherwise, no issues.

Used all the time!

It strictly fish on the label of The Pioneer Woman sets. Warning not dishwasher safe so in other words it's telling you not to put it in the dishwasher. She has really good cookware and dishware however it might not be a good idea to put these items in a dishwasher. My point is if I spend all of that money on these items I'm not going to put it in anything that could possibly break or damage the items that I've broken these items cost a lot of money and I do not want to see that money go down the drain. So with everything that I have purchased and gotten as gifts from The Pioneer Woman collection I hand wash everything myself and it has worked out lovely for me.

The glass wear

I ordered one set of these, then when I received them I ordered another. They are gorgeously crafted and are very sturdy. They will be used in my home as part of my serving ware for holidays or dinner parties for side salads or things of similar nature. I can also see them as being functional prep bowls. They are a great fit into the PW line. The plum with this as well as the other pictured "Adeline" items are a little more 'plum' than photographed.

Perfect size!

Loving this line! Everything I have purchased so far has been an extremely good investment, including these gorgeous bowls. I ordered them in teal and was very happy with them when I pulled them from the box. These are very well made and not thin glass. Another hit!!

Beautiful!

I purchased 12 of each item in the Adeline clear glass set.  The glass design is beautifully vintage and feels thick and sturdy. I love the look of them. However, I too experienced breakage, specifically of the bowls. I have only six pieces left, which is disappointing . The product description, on line, specifically says dishwasher safe, so I assume that the dishwasher didn' t encourage breakage. The product description, I later noticed, does NOT say “microwave safe”, and I had used my bowls in the microwave (of course the glasses never went into the microwave and they have not broken). I am leaning towards the problem being microwave use, which is MY bad.

Beautiful glassware, not microwaveable

My wife loved these sets.  We purchased 3 sets of bowls, 3 sets of glasses and 3 sets of goblets, 12 of everything.  Of all this glassware, all we have left (that hasn't broken) is 4 bowls, 3 glasses and most of the goblets.  None of these broke by dropping, etc., we would just find them broken after running through the dishwasher, or randomly cracking and breaking during use.  I assume they had micro-cracks that propagated from heating and cooling in the dishwasher, but who knows.  At first we threw them away, but after so many, started saving them.  Wal-Mart was good and returned money on the ones we had saved...  but unfortunately this was a small population of the total we started with.  Appears to be some quality control issues with this glassware.

Look nice, don't last long

I bought 4 of these bowls at the store, after getting them home i loved the size quality and look so much i ordered the four pack off line. MISTAKE! so much for "quality control" the ones i received off line were slightly larger and made of a cheaper thinner glass the difference was obvious ;( I love the bowl but if you are buying these I suggest you buy these in store that way you know if you are getting the heavier nicer bowl or the thin junky shouting it was made in china version.

Let's play Russian Roulette

I purchased 8 bowls and within 3 weeks, two were cracked and broke. I replaced those two and handwashed the rest. Now I have only 2 left out of 10 originally purchased. All  bowls were bought clear and looked perfect, but they break and have not had daily use, or damaged in handling. Very sad as the design and weight of the bowls were perfect size. 

Also had problems with the Silver plastic handled silverware. 
Now all I have left are the dishes and colander, which should have lasted 10 years.

All Clear bowls cracked and broke!

I received the set of bowls for Chrsitmas. Six months later and they are all broken. I literally just opened up my dishwasher and one was broken! I'm so disappointed in this entire line!! I bought several products and they are so cheaply made.
