This looks like a very nice product however, to be honest, I don't eat deep fry and I don't make candy. I do want to say it's made very well. The clip attaching to the pot would seem very helpful with someone who would deep fry turkey or make candy.

I didn't even receive this item. It was delivered to the wrong address and they refunded me for it

The heat dimple is too high. Have to use with a big pot and lot of oil to get a good read. And the holder is cheap and flimsy. 3/10

side mount thermometer

clip sucks and stem way to long for anything other than extra large deep pot

I probably shouldn't have bought this thermometer but needed one for my turkey fryer. It was way overpriced and I didn't realize it until I saw a few way cheaper after the fact.

Expensive for what it does

The dang thing didn't work I threw it away it was the wrong temperature and burned a batch of divinity. I put my glass thermometer with it on the next batch it was way off.

the dial was broken on arrival, will have to return

Tried making peanut brittle, it never showed the temp over 150 and I ended up burning the whole batch. Shows the room temperature at 50 degrees. Don't buy this thermometer.

Doesn't read correctly

I made a batch of old fashioned cocoa fudge and first batch burnt before it came to softball stage.Second batch cooked to 234 degrees which is softball well fudge did not set was like syrup.Third batch was stuck on 150 for little over 10 minutes so I used iced water and tested small amount and it indicated it was there but I waited because thermometer won't lie yeah right should have trusted the old school way so this thermometer is no good and wasted my sugar,cocoa and butter so disappointing and upset.don't buy.

Don't say you wasn't warned

This product was gifted to me so that I would give an honest review. This is a great basic thermometer for frying or making candy. It is very sturdy with clear number readings. It also comes with a clip to clip on your pot. Overall, I would recommend this product to a friend.
