Great backpack! It has many compartments that holds a lot. The straps are thickly padded and very comfortable on my shoulders.

not to big and bulkie but perfect size to fit everything i need and then some. comfortable dureable and just the right about of pockets. this is my daily wear backpack. I keep my laptop, all chargers and  additional electronics along with toiletries and other necessary items for travel and doesnt even feel like I have anything on my back or shoulders. Colors match with just about everything .. its perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a new laptop backpack and picked up one of these Targus 15.6" Octave Backpack.  Am I glad that I did.  It is so lightweight I barely feel it when wearing it, despite it being packed full of supplies.  The shoulder straps are contoured and the back panel is padded for extra comfort while being worn.  I can pack it full because it is so sturdy.  
     It fits laptops or tablets up to 15.6" and features numerous pockets for other goods.  There is a built-in workstation in a secondary compartment as well as a front stash pocket.  All kinds of space for notebooks, pens, charger, phone, and anything else you need to take with you.  You even get a couple of mesh drink liners on each side of the backpack.  
     It weighs about a pound and is a unisex style so anyone can use it.  It is both stylish and professional-looking so it can be used for any occasion by anyone from a school kid to a businessman.  I highly recommend this versatile, comfortable laptop backpack.

It is also a really sturdy bag that holds up to everyday wear and tear.  I use it everyday and is perfect!

I thought this would be a great little backpack for my son because he had to take his laptop to and from school every day. Unfortunately, after he used it for less than 5 months (daily use but with only his laptop, charger, and sometimes a lunch in it), the entire seam along the zipper ripped. It was frayed so it wasn't possible to repair. It should have at least lasted through the school year with as little as he used it. He didn't even have it during the school day so it was just for going to and from school each day. Don't waste your money on this- spend a little more to get something higher quality.
