You can use your existing sim card. But read my review that this is not a T-Mobile phone. It&#39;s a MetroPCS phone on the T-Mobile network so if you don&#39;t have Metro service you can&#39;t use this phone. Prepaid means you buy minutes before hand like on a gift card.

If you order this phone walmart,com does not send you a T-Mobile phone but a Metro PCS phone. If you do end up with a T-Mobile prepaid phone you can put any T-Mobile micro SIM card in the phone and use it as you did your past T-Mobile phone.

When you activate the phone you can purchase time that is talk and data.

I decided it was time to replace my old phone. I went on line with Walmart and compared several phones. The Prime Core phone was the best phone for me, by far. Shopping with Walmart on line made it even easier. Once I picked out the color, the rest was easy. A few clicks and adding some information, and I was on my way. The phone is PERFECT. I Love it! The reception is great and it has all the features I wanted. I'm telling all my friend about my purchase from WALMART!!!
