we put it on a steel pole but if u r far away with ur local channel u have to put it up high i think ours is at least 30 feet

Mount on a pole. I used a 1" PVC pipe drove it into the sandy FL soil and have it 3 foot above the ground pointing straight south to stations 30 miles away.

you have to get an antenna mount or make one.

The rotator can be clamped to a pole or a pipe.

l bought a set of rca stand-offs at lows and used a ten foot length of 1" conduit

Just mount the antenna on a pole and mount it to the top of the trim on your house. Works great that way. Make sure it's higher than your chimney if you have one, it rotates and needs the clearance.

No, mine rotates one complete round then rotates back in the other direction. You will need to have a loop in your wire so it can rotate without getting tangled.

The rotator turns both directions but the control switches are badly designed.

Guy who complained apparently did not run the cable down through the mounting clamp. If you run it down through the clamp when you rotate the antenna it straightens itself out. Haven't had a bit of trouble with the cable wrapping itself around the antenna

So one customer said the antenna only rotates one direction and the cable will get tangled. Is anyone else experiencing this or is his defective?

It rotates so you rotate it to get the best reception

Google map the TV stations antenna in your area and use a compass to orient your antenna or if you know your house orientation point it to the majority of the TV stations antenna. TV station are not necessary the TV antenna location. So search for the Antenna locations not broadcast stations.

you can get that information from antennaweb.org - simply put in your location information and it will tell you what stations you will receive and which direction to point the unit

u just have to test it to make sure we had to finally put ours the back of the house where no trees was at as far as point it u just need to use ur roation and it will find ur channels
