Yes it uses Verizons towers, if any phone has a red map at the bottom of the box its Verizon. Blue are ATT and Sprint and T-Mobile

I have Straighttalk&#39;s Contracted Verizon Service so my 4G LTE Galaxy Core Prime maxes at 2.5G for 3GB, then cuts back thereafter until the next monthly cycle.
For 4G, I&#39;d have to sign up with Verizon (et al) directly and, to me, it is not worth the cost.

The Samsung Galaxy Core Prime box show a Red US Map and has LTE-V printed in the bottom left corner : So it uses the Verizon 4G-LTE network towers. Red US Map = Verizon. T/M/S with a letter &#39;C&#39; or &#39;V&#39; = Verizon. -note- this smartphones model number is S820C [S820L] = Verizon. ~ RHF

The light on your Samsung glows green when the device is connected to a charger and the battery is fully charged. Glows red when the device is connected to a charger and is charging. Blinks red when the device is connected to a charger but there is a problem with charging. Blinks red when the battery is low. Pulses in multicolor blue while the device is turning on or off. Blinks blue for a missed call, message, or other notification. Blinks blue when recording voice.

For Missed Calls, Messages and Notifications the Indicator Light will blick &#39;Blue&#39;.

My new phone has a light up by the Samsung name. Sometimes it blinks pink; sometimes it blinks blue. What is the meaning of this?

It maybe because of my location. But I personally have found no BIG difference with the 4g LTE. MY other friends whom are with Verizon ( in same location) LOVE 4g. Personally I believe the core prime is a dud plain and simple.

GoTo : Apps : Settings : About Phone : Status : now look at the &#39;Mobile Network type&#39; info, it should say LTE if your are connected to your local cell-tower using a frequency for LTE technology; however if it says 4G/3G/2G, then you don&#39;t have a good LTE signal and are not getting an LTE connection. Also, look a the &#39;Signal strength&#39; info, it should show the the dBm and asn numbers : the higher the numbers = 5-Bars the better; the lower the numbers = 1-Bar not-so-good. The signal and connection can change with a change in your locations, and different towers; including your location with-in each cell towers coverage (relationship/distance to the tower). They are called Cell-Phones for a reason. ~ RHF
