I got this play kitchen for my 5 year old daughter for her birthday. This little kitchen has all the stuff the big kitchens have. It has an attractive design. The two little cabinets on top are so cute. My daughter likes the window and pretends to play restaurant. The appliances are not stainless steel but are white. My daughter says she would rather them be white anyway. It comes with pots and pans, silverware, a play phone, and coffee pot, and play food and the front burner makes sizzling sounds. The microwave makes noises too. My daughter is small for her age and the kitchen is taller than she is, so she'll be able to play with it for a while. It was easy to put together, but be careful putting the stickers on. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice affordable kitchen for a girl or boy to play with for hours of imagative play.

I ordered this kitchen for my grandson and had it shipped to his home for his birthday. I arrived in time to see him open it and I was not disappointed. His eyes were as wide as the stove burners when he saw it! He loves everything about it, especially the coffee pot, and the sizzing and boiling sounds the burners make. The phone is a great feature too, since a guy needs to make a phone call sometimes when he's brewing his morning coffee. The kitchen is done in pleasing colors and is very sturdy. Thanks!

    Great Kitchen

    Customer review by Putters

This kitchen is the perfect size if you don't have a lot of room or have too many toys. My two year old loves it and she can definitely use it for several years. I love Walmart's price when I got it, $62. Much cheaper than toys r us because it is not stainless steal. It also includes some food, pots and pans-which make noise when on the burners-and dishes. There is a phone and the microwave has a push button area that makes noise. I had to return the first kitchen because it didn't have the food or dishes but they sent out another one the same week. I just have to mail the other one back, site to store won't send it out, but the do provide a mailing label.

The picture shows white appliances, but the description states that they are "stainless steel" appliances.

    • I work for fedex and ordered one of these for my son. Since theres free shipping I have seen like 20 of these units shipped in stainless steel and white. I was a little upset when I got mines in and it was white. The website doesnt let you choose which color you want. I returned mines to the store so I could call customer service and request the stainless steel one. But, yes, these come in both colors I guess Walmart just randomly ships whichever one they have in stock at the time.

    • They are definitely white. We just put our together as a gift to my daughter a couple of days ago and the stove, fridge, and microwave are white like in the picture. However the sink faucet, stove top burners and key pad on the microwave are all silver so maybe that is what they mean by stainless steel. Looks just like the stock photo.

The age range says 2 and up, but there is a "Warning: Small Parts, not for children under 3" warning on the page for this kitchen also. What is/are the smallest parts?
    by SweetPeaMommy 7/20/2011
    • Ours didnt come with any small parts after its assembled. The smallest parts ours had were the cabinet knobs and those are held on with two screws that would be hard to remove.

    • There really aren't any small part except the pieces you assemble together. I bought it for my 2 year old and there is nothing that would really be of major concern. You do need to unscrew the back of the phone, etc to replace the batteries and such so I guess if something wasn't secured properly that would cause a concern. All the pieces that are loose are the play foods, plates, etc. Too big to choke on or get injured.

    • The kitchen has some utensils (spoons, forks along with plates, etc.) but you could just remove those if you think it would be a problem. The plastic food items are all pretty good size. I guess the hamburgers might fit in their mouth and maybe the fake lettuce, but the rest of the items are really too big to cause a problem. My granddaughter is 17 months and I didn't remove anything except the silverware.

    • I Dont see any small parts the kitchen is 3 large plastic parts and plastic food/dishes are too big, only 2 plastic sausages may be risky because of the shape but you can discard them from the set, think they could be also the 6 screws you need to assembly, but if you set them correctly at the beginning I see no problem, maybe have someone holding your baby in another room while you assembly it.

    • The only thing I could think of was there are screws you have to put into the kitchen, other than that, everything was a reasonable size for a child. My kid was 23 months when she received it.

    • screws to assemble the kitchen are the smallest part, but after that the accessories are small cups & utensils.

    • I got this for my 18 month old son. There aren't any parts that are small enough to choke on. He puts everything in his mouth still and the smallest pieces are the plastic play utensils which are the same size as regular child utenils. The only thing I would be careful of is if your child tries to peel the stickers off and eat them. Good luck!

    • The smallest parts are the plastic food items and the silverware included with the product. My grand daughter just turned 2, and we haven't had any issues or problems with the parts included. There is nothing small enough to worry about swallowing.

    • No the sink does not come out. It is durable plastic so technically you could put water in it but it would be a challenge cleaning it up as it is not really designed for that kind of play.

    • No, it's pretty shallow too. I don't know if you would want to get it wet anyway because there are a bunch of stickers that go on it. If the stickers get wet they could get ruined. (Of course, I have only had mine for a few hours so for all I know my girls will peel the stickers off tomorrow. :-p)
