You can play for Free with limitations. SWTOR is an online MMO with Free to play mode. I suggest you start with Free to play and if you like it then purchase the card. There is no refund for card purchases. Some Features of the game are disabled for Free players and you are limited to only 2 characters and a few races to pick from. There is no level restrictions only customization restrictions and you can't use a speeder to move quickly. If you use this card, after your 60 days are up your account will return to Free play mode. The part about not being able to use a speeder for faster travel is not completely accurate. Paid player get to use speeders at level 10, FTP players have to wait to use speeders until level 25.

The cool thing here is no. The game starts out as free to play. When buying a membership you get access to a few cool perks, including free cartel coins every month, the in game real life money shop. When your membership runs out you will become a &quot;preferred&quot; member. Basically you get all the perks but the free coins. But I do suggest keeping up on the sub, as you can pay either monthly or 1 time for a whole year. It is worth it in my opinion

Star Wars the Old Republic is a free download. Buying the game time is optional since it is a free to play (F2P) game. There are some limitations if you play in F2P mode but that is typical of all F2P games.

I buy these from walmart.com cheaper than going to the store and cheaper than subscribing for two months in game. I have had zero issues activating these codes. Just check the price and dont pay more than $29.

With a new expansion pack out, the game being Free To Play is still a good thing. But they are offering a free level 65 booster (5 levels short of the max level cap) for new subscribers to jump right into the game. This means not having to level up and slowly become bored of the game. You are able to start working on a main in order to either twink an alt or just start getting to know the game and meeting new people. I suggest keeping consistent with the 60 day cards. You get cartel coins, the currency you pay real money for, free every month. This offers cosmetic items, jedi robes to trooper armor. Even saber crystals that will give you an edge.

Star Wars in it's entirety is a great experience, the reasons I gave it imperfect ratings are; a tyrant company has its hands in it (hint: helped destroy one of the best built systems ever at the time; dreamcast), and $15 a month for the subscription seems a little steep these days.

NO CASH? No Problem, Swtor (Star Wars the Old Republic) has a great F2P (Free to Play) model where you still get to play 90% of the content just at a slower rate (25% lower xp gains than Subscribers). It's a great MMO I'd recommend to anyone of all ages; great pve, moderate pvp, and a new spin for all you Role-players.

Why pay more this is a $30 time card

This is the 2nd card I've bought in two days that has an "invalid" code. Apparently the problem is on Wal-Marts end, due to using their own codes for the exclusive in-game pet.

Copied directly from one of the SWTOR forums:

"i have same issues with 2 of the same cards buddy, ive called and spoken with the team 5-6 times, they keep telling me to hold on and wait, that they are "trying" to fix it, what happened is, walmart made their own codes instead of swtor doing it, and now the swtor site does not recognize the way the codes are formatted"
