This comes with one Blu-ray disc, one DVD and a digital code. The Blu-ray will NOT play on a standard DVD player HOWEVER the DVD that also comes with this WILL play on a standard DVD player. The Digital code will work with many apparatus that come with the feature of playing Vudu which is an independent service app. Many tablets both Android and Windows driven will run the Vudu copy as well as computers, laptops, and smart TV&#39;s or smart Blu-ray players equipped with this app. I am not sure if they are making smart DVD players though. This movie was great. This is what we've been waiting for from Lucasfilm all along. It brings new life into the Star Wars franchise, and in blue ray, it is stunning.

IT"S STAR WARS

I own return of the Jedi on DVD. Other than that, I've never owned a Star Wars movie on blu ray. It's real nice to have all 6 in one case.

Awesome collection

This was a gift for my son.  He likes this edition because it has added features, plus interviews with the stars of the movie.

Bluray DVD

I pre ordered a blue ray edition with additional features and such from Walmart. It did not arrive on release day as I believed but rather shipped on release day which was disappointing. However once it finally arrived I found it to be well packaged and secure. Everything is in tact and as it should be. The blue ray, DVD & digital copy were all included and the special features as well. I first watched that disc which provides about an hour of behind the scenes and edited out material and so forth which I enjoy watching. Lastly I watched the blue ray version which was flawless and breathtaking as typical with blue ray films. Star Wars the Force Awakens was surprisingly good and if you some how have not seen it yet I won't spoil it but you need to fix your life and go get it and see it right now!

Not so long long ago

I loved Star Wars VII! It left me with tons of questions and shocked at the loss of a great General... Can't wait for Star Wars VIII!

The film was wonderful, the video quality excellent.
This was the only version of the DVD that has special features.  It has a DVD copy of the film, but the special features only came in the Blu-ray format. I mistakenly assumed if the movie had a DVD version, the special features would have a DVD version too. IT DOES NOT. I don't have a Blu-ray player.  I wasted six more dollars on features I can't watch!

I got home excited to watch The Force Awakens. When I opened the Bluray the only thing in the box was two CD recordable discs with NAP boy written on them. I was highly upset. Then I was questioned as to the validity of my claim. The box was wrapped in cellophane and looked legit. In the end they swapped it but I had to drive across town back to the Walmart I picked it up from to get it squared away.

Not cool!
