It does not open by conventional means. Meant as a solid displayable toy.

It is not intended to open. The top and bottom are attached by several small screws.

It does not. The ship is hollow and can be disassembled by removing small screws. I did this to accommodate interior lighting. Also carved out the cockpit windows.

IT's not intended to open up and it doesn't have any representative interior such as a cockpit for placing figure. However, any creative child will use figures of any size to play with it.

I wanted to counter all the negative reviews and comments on this item. No, it is not a playset. No, it does not light up or make sounds. No, it does not fit action figures. That being said - YES - it is the most accurate and beautifully manufactured Millennium Falcon replica at anything close to a reasonable price that's ever been made.

This thing is also BIG - just the right size for display or roleplay. It's not technically in scale to the 4" figure line, but if I was 12 again that wouldn't have stopped me from using it as a set piece while playing with the figures.

Ultimate Millennium Falcon for the serious collect

Simply stated, this is perhaps the most accurate Millennium Falcon produced in this scale ever...by any company. The details on this "toy" rival nearly every model kit produced over the years and at a fraction of the price. This is most definitely a must-buy for any diehard Star Wars fan and particularly for any modeler who wants to create an awesome Falcon.

For my 8 yr old son for Christmas. He will love it! It is HUGE!!!

Extremely HUGE!!!

As a toy there really isn't much to say but as a starting point for a really nice studio scale model, it's awesome!!!!! The majority of the detail is really good except for the side panels around the ship which are decals. I put a lot of work into converting it into something very special and it was worth it. I noticed folks were complaining about the X Wing from this collection being not much more than a hunk of plastic. It's true, but again if you are willing to put in some work these can be really nice pieces. The falcon is roughly in scale with the Star Wars Command figures and would display well with them.

Dream for model makers!!!!!

Bought this product for my 10-yr old for Christmas. The product is very high quality with tons of great exterior details.

For those of you (like me) who might be looking for the original Falcon that you can open up and put action figures in, this is not it. Nothing opens, no place for action figures. Having said that, he thought it was awesome and had fun putting all the stickers on it that give it more detail (there must be over 100 stickers to put on). At the time of this review (a few weeks after the Force Awakens movie came out) there was no other option, but expect that they may re-release the toy version of this product at some point, but it will likely be 2-4 times as expensive.

I will be hanging it from his ceiling as a model since there isn't much he can do with it as a toy.I had read the reviews and knew what I was getting, so I was pleased with the product.

More of a model, not so much a toy

This is a beautiful model of the Millennium Falcon but that's really all it is. For the price I figured it would open or have parts that did to make it a functional toy but apparently not. My son was excited to get it for his birthday but never plays with it because, well, he can't, really.

Lovely Detail, Lacking in Function

I purchased this online expecting a whole lot more! This toy is basically a molded plastic shell, no moving parts, and no sounds. Great if you want to hang it from the ceiling, but not for the $70 price tag.

Big But Not Worth The Price

I have nothing to say about the product... my son has not opened it yet. My problem is with the way Walmart shipped this item. It was intended to be a Christmas present, but this was shipped to my house with no shipping box at all. Instead, it was delivered in full display, with its box covered in shipping labels and dirty/scratched up from the delivery process. So, when my son unwraps his present, he will get to see a beat up box rather than a clean presentation. Seriously... who ships an item like this without a shipping box? If you want this, buy it from the store or order it from Amazon where they will properly ship it.

Don't order online

An associate helped me to open this on the floor today. I was suspicious because the box was MEGA lightweight and there were no pictures on the box of the inside. Well, that's because there is no "inside." The whole thing is just a two foot, hollow piece of plastic. If your child has other actual PLAYsets, this will be a huge disappointment. At the very least, they could have included lights and sounds. Nope. Just a big piece of plastic. My son would not be interested in a two foot prop, just taking up space in his room, and I'm SO glad that we didn't find out the truth on Christmas morning.
