You have to use the new Traptanium portal. The old one won&#39;t work.

can you use the figures from the previous games on this game?

Do you need the traptanum Portal or can you use the Portal from the previous Skylander game?

The ones that u need are the trap masters. They are the ultimate ones.

Do you have to have all the characters to play the game or, like with the previous games, can you start with a few and collect as you go?

I bought this item for my twin grandsons' 10th birthday. They picked it out on walmart.com. They really love it !! The characters are interactive and very colorful. If the boys are happy, I am happy!! They are great boys, on honor roll at school, and well manered and well behaved; so I enjoy getting them something they really want.

Brought daughter this game for xmas. she loves it! plays it all the time. Though, this game requires multiple additional pieces to open gates/levels, I as a parent am a little distraught that my child needs these additional pieces to experience the full game. I am impressed with portal portion of the game and how technology has evolved to the pointe where you can put a game piece on the portal, which is a separate piece read by the Wii and that character pops up in the game...I thought that was really cool! Love that if my daughter does not have a crystal to capture a character she can play a different part of the game. These crystal pieces are not so expensive but additional monies will be needed for your child to advance in the game.

Skylanders-Trap-Team-Wii

This is a great game. Kids love it. Parents will not like the amount of money you will have to dish out for characters and traps. If you have already purchased Skylanders games in the past, then you already understand how this works. If not, then here it is. You have to purchase Skylander characters in order to play the game. Characters run out of "life" or you need to use a Skylander from a different element to achieve certain goals in the game. Activision, maker of Skylander games, has now added "traps" that need to be purchased in order to catch the bad guys. Longer play requires more Skylanders and traps. A "few" characters from previous games will work with Trap Team.

Great product but...

This is the gift. We had to set time limits because he played for a half a day. He is already asking for more characters and the traps. He will have to save his own money for that stuff but he is having a good time now.

Never want to see your kid face to face

At first, my child and husband loved the game. It was going great till we got to the battle with the dreamcatcher. At that point, the game froze up and started making a buzzing sound. They have replayed the level more than once, trying to get through the level, but it freezes in that spot every time. Therefore, we can't save the game and proceed to any other level. It is terrible and we are very disappointed.

Trap Force has been terribly disappointing.
