My son, who is now only two months old, has been on Similac Alimentum since he was one month old. At about two and a half, three weeks, he started getting little white heads all over his head and face. We couldn't understand what they were, knowing that is wasn't baby acne, which an on call doctor thought it was one night. Finally, at his one month app. his pediatrician said that it looked like a food/milk allergy, since it wasn't going away. She gave us a couple samples of Alimentum. Within three days, his skin began to make a huge recovery, he was less fussy, and started having regular bowel movements again.
We're definitely thankful for finding this product and I would recommend it to anyone who has a baby with a sensitive tumtum.

This formula was a life saver, my baby could eat nothing else and was constantly crying and hungry, I tried other brands but she would vomit instantly. Finally Alimentum helped us, the only issue is how awful it smells, but who cares my baby is happy and healthy!!

Amazing!

This was our 6th formula that we tried for our boy!! It was liquid gold!! He had such sensitivity and intolerance to all of the other formulas and then once he had this in his belly...life was so much better!!!! He is turning 1 in a few days and I am so upset and afraid to take him off of it!!! Best formula ever!!!!!!

Liquid Gold

At about 5 weeks, my daughter started to show signs of an allergy (bloody diapers and irritability). After trying a few other formulas, Similac Alimentum did the trick. She is now eating and feeling great with regular bowel movements. My only complaint is it is expensive, but I've heard that some insurance companies will pay for it if the doctor submits a letter.

This is the best formula for fussy and colicky babies! It was a life saver for our 2 months baby girl. She turned into a different baby on this formula!! Was miserable on all other formulas! Would definitely recommend it! And walmart offers great value with very fast delivery

Best formula ever!

This is a great formula for babies with milk and soy protein intolerance (MSPI). Based on ingredients and smell I prefer it over Nutramigen. The best deal is this one on Walmart. You get a discount for ordering 6 cans (which we go through in one month with a toddler) and they are always fresh batches with expiry dates 3 years into the future. Other places that sell the 6 cans at a discount will send you old cans that are beaten up either already expired or almost expiring. This is the only place I have found Alimentum at a discount without sacrificing quality.

great product, best price

For a speciality product, I was very pleased to find such a great price on Walmart's website. Especially since I can't order directly from Similac, as usual Walmart comes through. Shipping was on time, though the packaging was very wasteful. Overall, very happy and I will definitely replenish my order.

Best price I've found anywhere

The con, of course is the price. The pros, having our premie comfortable. We tried Enfamil's Enfacare and Neocate and neither solved the problem. The nutritionist suggested this one. It is the middle ground between the formulas listed above. Your insurance might cover the formula if it is medically necessary.

Great for immature GI tracks.

My grandson did well on Alimentum, as he was diagnosed with a dairy allergy and colic at 2 months. He began to grow well and was a happy baby. Not any more! The new similac alimentum makes him very sick to his stomach; he spits up large amounts and is cranky! Whenever we can find the old Alimentum, we purchase it, and he goes back to his happy self. We search local stores and buy out their supply. Unfortunately it is getting much more difficult to find, and we are not sure what we will do when it is no longer available. Even his pediatrician agrees with our findings, and searches it out for us.

makes baby sick!

Please please go back to the old formula. I am willing to pay the cost. It was the absolute only formula that helped my daughter. After the switch to the bigger scoop she is extremely gassy, crying in pain, spitting up more and refusing to finish her bottles.
