It has an extra large water tank. I keep a "Coke" bottle full of water close by for really easy refills. No special equipment is needed.

No, this does not come with a pitcher to fill the water reservoir.

This is the first 1800 watt iron I have ever had. It gets really hot and will iron wrinkles out of the toughest cloths. I really like the steam feature.

This is the best iron I've ever purchased so far. I rarely have to use starch, it gets hot and the job done. Love it!

Love it

I had to return two other irons of a different brand (Hamilton Beach), because they leaked. This one is also heavy enough that I don't have to press as hard to iron cotton shirts. I really like it so far.

I am very happy with this iron. I have many years and hours of ironing experience and this is the best iron I have ever owned.

Love this iron

This iron does not "leak." Some irons tilt over easily, but this one does not. It gets hot enough (1800 watt) to iron heavy cotton (jeans) and low enough for delicate items. I really like the steam feature, whether ironing on a flat surface or holding it straight up to steam wrinkles out of a garment. It has an easy heat adjustment setting that does not accidentally cut off like some of the irons I have had in the past. It is easy to fill the water reservoir and easy to determine the water level. Since this is the best iron I have ever had, I bought two more before they discontinue this item. Irons, as you know, don't last forever. Hopefully, these irons will last me for my lifetime.

Heats quickly and hot enough, auto shut offs, and pointed tip for ironing tight places. No unnecessary "do-dads" to drive up price so it's cost is reasonable.

Exactly what I wanted

This iron produces great steam, is easy to hold and use. Very sturdy and the build quality is good. 
My only negative is that it doesn't hold temperature very well and you have to wait a few seconds after the light goes green to actually get the right temperature for your clothes. 
Outside of that, I would recommend it.

I love my new Iron it has a great feel in my hand and it does a great job for me.

This is a great Iron

We had a Shark iron and it lasted for a long time. I don even know how long, maybe 10 years. Then it failed to heat so I went out and got another higher power, performance iron. I was surprised to find out upon its use that steam does not come out when the iron is in use like the old one. To get steam you have to pump the button. After about a month of use the button did not spring back 100% any more. 2 months later the button is 100% collapsed and now there is no steam.

GI505WM SHARK Iron - Steam Button Stuck-No STEAM

I have used the iron several times and I am not really enthuisiastic about rthe performance of this iron. I have used the Shark iron that is less expensive with better results. I wear a lot of cotton and linen and I expected a better performing iron. It had been difficult for me to find the type of iron that suits my need for cotton and linen. I do not like the pointed feature for ironing around buttons.

Rating of Ashark Iron

This ultimate Professional Shark Steam iron does not work for me. When you add distilled water to make it steam and you don't use all the water in the tank it leaks and leaves a puddle of water at base of iron. I returned Iron twice to Walmart and found it is a faulty iron. I called the Shark company, their solution is to empty water from iron after each use even if you plan on using it again in 5 minutes. Beware, the water is HOT that leaks out.  Very bad iron, out my $50.+ dollars!
