Just what I needed

This spice rack was just what I needed for my small one bdrm apt. I downsized from a house and just did not have the space in the cabinets. Works great for most smaller round spice containers (as shown) and was easy to mount on the wall. Definitely recommend.

Exactly what I wanted!

This is a darling spice rack and very reasonably priced. It is well made and sturdy without being too heavy. It mounts on the wall with two top and two bottom screws, but we only used the top two (the bottom two were hard to reach). We found that two screws provided ample support. Our kitchen walls are light yellow, and we hung this rack below a set of three copper decorative pans; it looks really cute, especially when you get all your colorful spice containers in it. It holds 15 or 16 spices, but don't get the extra large size (won't fit). A good example of being able to find exactly what I wanted in five minutes on the Internet. I would've had to shop for days and probably couldn't find this. Hooray for Walmart -- hooray for online shopping! Hope you enjoy your spice rack.

I absolutely love this rack, the absolute only thing I would change is how much room is between each "shelf" I have a few taller spices that only fit on the top rack but otherwise no complaints it looks great!

  • I would recommend using an outdoor approved spray paint on it first. Rustoleum is one brand to consider. Other than that, I would think it would be fine as long as you don't mind drilling holes into your wall and use the proper way to mount things in brick. (Look that up online for guidance). The rack isn't very heavy and neither are spices so you shouldn't need heavy duty mountings.

  • Yes, but you need a special drill bit and screws to mount on brick or concrete.

  • I'm sure it would depend on the screwed used, but the shelf ledge does block 2 holes and it isn't easy to screw anyway.

  • Yes, if you have the right type of mounting hardware. The screws that it comes with are for traditional mounting to sheetrock/wood.

  • The mounting screw plates are very thin metal. One of the racks I ordered even came with one broke off. I would not try drilling into brick. Maybe you could put a hanger on the brick and then use the two metal loops to hang it that way?

  • Yes, but you'll need special fasteners. Your local hardware store will have them.

  • Yes, with masonry anchors for the screws. I expect it would rust, though.

  • Not sure why you would want to, but yes. The rack comes with 4 each plastic sheet rock anchors and 4 screws. If you drill the holes with masonry bits, the wall anchors should hold the rack in place. The rack is made of painted metal, so it might rust if mounted outside.

  • You would need to proper drill to drill the holes in the brick, but I would say yes

  • No it uses metal screws, will crack tile

  • I would say yes if you want to drill into your tile. Each rack has four black metal screws and mounting spots. I sat mine on the top of the back of the stove and have them secured to the wall with small pieces of duct tape - back to back -- no drilling needed.

  • Yes, it could be hung on a tile back splash if the tile goes up far enough and you are willing to drill holes in the tile. The lower mounting holes are about 3/4" above the base of the rack and the upper mounting holes are about 10 1/4" above the base. So you'd have to take a masonry bit, drill four holes into the tiles, and insert plastic wall anchors to mount the spice rack.

  • I haven't tried it but you could use the command or a similar type hook to mount this rack, as long as you're not using heavy glass spice jars to make the rack really heavy it should work, I have mine actually sitting on the counter then screwed into the wall so I can get the top spices out (it's under the cabinet, if I raised it I wouldn't be able to get the top shelf spices out), the hooks should hold it up just fine as long as you follow all the mounting instructions on the tape and don't mount the rack too soon (wait the 30 minutes or whatever it says on the tape for the hooks).

  • I would not do that - it has to be screwed into the wall with an anchor as the rack has some weight to it.

  • If you get longer screws possibly, it is held up by four screws.

  • I have this spice rack mounted to my wood backsplash, but since you have a tile backsplash, it will depend on what the tiles are made of since the spice rack is screw-mounted.
    by SAJ7227810/16/2010

  • You probably could. The rack has four small mounting plates on all four sides on the inside of the rack with a small hole in the middle for hanging purposes. You can use nails and/or screws to mount it with. With a tile wall, I am sure you could mount it in the grout area. The rack is not very heavy and I would think that if you can get it mounted good on at least the two top holes, you may not need to attach it on the bottom ones if it does not align with your grout. It should be fine regardless.

  • If the back splash is made of a material that the screws can penetrate without damage. You may be able to hang it.
