Hello. This charger is recommended for use on standard lead acid batteries, but not for AGM or Gel batteries.

This is a manual and automatic charger. it can be used on both settings.

As long as your tractor battery is a 12V battery, you can use this charger on it. Please bear in mind this is a manual charger, so it will have to be closely monitored when charging a battery to avoid overcharging the battery.

I bought this charger about a month ago an have used it on my dull battery diesel truck, diesel car, diesel tractor and as you know these take a per heater (GLOW PLUGS) to start and the batteries need to be in top condition, I'm always in the shop and try to keep my equipment in good running condition and this charger has done well by me so far; very happy with it. Have not used the starter section on it yet cause it has my batteries up to full charge. YES I do recommend it to others. There last charger "same brand" lasted me approxmely over 30 years a smaller unit except my grandson dropped it and broke the gauge on it bit it still works, thy make great products, would like to get a new gauge for my old one.

manual charger just my style

I have owned  several Schumacher products over the years, and my 25 year old Roll around charger finally bit the dust. So I purchased this one to replace it. So far, it works as advertised....We'll see if it lasts another 25!

I received this as a Christmas gift from my better half, probably because she was tired of hearing me complain about how long my old charger took. I use it mainly on my plow truck which has a good battery but not strong enough to run the truck and the plow. The truck is used only in winter and not worth investing in a new battery for it. This charger starts my truck as soon as I hook it up. The reason for only four stars is that I had to attach a bracket to wrap the wires on when not in use.

An OK charger

We used this charger on a fairly regular basis to recharge a bad battery on our forklift.
We bought 2 of those items because we needed a decent charger quickly.
The first one lasted exactly 30 days.
We bought a second one that lasted 15 days.
The quality of those charger is extremely poor. It might be enough if you charge a battery less than once a month. Anymore than that and you take a huge risk of having it die just after the warranty expires.
