as like a lot of clueless consumers....it says...helps to reduce oil burning.  It has ZDDP  Zinc and the viscosity helps the current oil longevity and improve parts coverage on startup.  The coating of less metal to metal ZDDP is all in the mix.  Google it...see what it all means...don't make assumption when you probably have not even worked on a lawn mower....just saying.

my engin burns oil, so I add this every 3 weeks or once a month. helps my engine lubricated for a noticable smooth engine performance.

Good if your engin burns oil

I have been using STP Oil Treatment for over forty years.  I have used it in older cars and new cars and I truly believe it has helped prevent wear on the internal parts of the engines.  I have a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport that has 240,000 miles on it and it is still going strong.  I believe that the STP has contributed greatly to this engines endurance.  I can highly recommend this product.

Started using STP afew years back, on all my cars and trucks, especially in the winter.    The cold startup is where just about all your wear and tear happens on your vehicle.  It leaves then with a slight coding on all the parts of my engine!   When i do my oil changes I always use Supertech 5w 30 full synthetic  motor oil, I maintain my vehicles to the highest standard and STP is always part of the protocal.   Hope I helped you. Tried some Marvel Mystery oil and the slight ticking remined in the used car I Just bought . At oil change I uses all synthetic oil but added a can of this a presto the ticking stopped ! I didn't think it would so glad I tried this and will get some more .

My dad was a life long mechanic from 50s to 2000s. 
He laughed at most snake oils, STP was an exception.
He said it worked. That means more than you'll ever know.
It's more than just an oil thickener as most people call it.
Sure, a 15oz can would thicken up 5qts of cheap 10w-30 to 12.2w-35.6, lol. 
Yeah that helps at times.
But It really does add extra film lubrication. 
A must have for engine assembly. 
(also great for fishing reels and ratchets. Caution, a literal bead is all you need).

air cooled motorcycle, I add 1oz. of stp oil treatment to a CG250cc air cooled motorcycle at every oil change, so a 15oz bottle can last 15 oil changes @ 1000km every oil change is 15,000km per bottle. oil change with a 65ml oil cooler is 1.5QT per oil change.
