Yes, I believe it will and close tightly too.

Some reviews say that it can accommodate storage for a  Christmas tree but  will it hold a 7.5ft tree? The tree breaks down into 3 pieces.

This container is great for blankets, towels and sheets for me and anyone.  It would not be too heavy to put these items in.

This replaced the ancient heavy cardboard box that our Christmas tree came in decades ago and has finally fallen apart. It is the exact same dimensions and is made to withstand cold temps without cracking. Perfect for attics and unheated garages or sheds. The lid snaps on very securely.

I love my tote!

I needed something to hold large rolls of paper during a move, something that could keep them from getting damaged, and something large enough that I didn't have to fold them! This fit the bill.

It has some limitations in that the lid is not very strong, so you can't stack a lot of weight on this. The lid will crack and/or cave in. So just be aware going in, that this is not the type of container you can easily stack. This is either going to be on TOP of an existing stack or something that just stands alone!

I would also not put too much weight in it. It's a large bin and too much weight in this thing is going to make it impossible to move and I would worry about the plastic cracking under pressure. But for my paper rolls this was just about the most ideal bin possible.

This would also be good for stuffed animal toys or blankets.

I go to this because we're moving and needed a large bin to store the blankets/sheets. Nothing heavy and the bin is already broken after not even a week of storing! So disappointed!

The listed dimensions of this box are simply incorrect. It lists 42.70 x 24.40 x 18.00 on the product description. The actual dimensions are 40.75 x 21.15 x 16.5...HOWEVER, that is measured from the the very largest possible outer points. The actual storage area is much, much less -- 36.00 x 16.50 x 15.25! The box narrows in width and length from top to bottom, and there are all sort of design elements that take up even more space inside.  I have been searching for months for a plastic storage container that will fit my wedding dress box (the kind that the dry cleaners use to preserve the dress). I understand most containers of this type have those design elements that limit the inner dimensions, but I thought the listed dimensions gave me plenty of buffer. What is the point of giving dimensions if they are so far from reality??

I have had these storage containers for Christmas decorations for appx 4 years. They are only used 1x a year to store the decorations. They are cracked and the handles cracked the bin when I try to remove the lids. They are a great size but I can't keep buying them if they break. I had 3 now down to 1 and all the Christmas stuff is not all packed.
