you screw off your shower head, screw on the snap in adapter, then screw your existing shower head back on. The rinse aid then snaps into the installed adapter. You have to unsnap the rinse aid to take a shower using your existing head.

There is a fitting that is placed in between your shower head and pipe which is included.

It comes with the attachment that you install to your existing showerhead. Then it detaches so you can just attach this whenever you need it rather than leave it attached all the time, which is how we use it.

This hose comes with the side shower connector

the shower head has no connector- it is a separate piece called a connector- after original shower head is removed then the silver connector is screwed into the pipe and then the original shower head is replaced- then the new hose is attached into the side of the connector at the white plastic piece that sticks out from the side of the connector

Plastic. I don't think there is another option available. These questions are answered by customers not Walmart so I can't help with shipping questions other than free ship to home is 7-10 days. My items almost always arrive sooner than that.

The connector that comes with it is metal, but the part that inserts the hose is plastic. This shipped in less than a week for us.

The shower hose comes with a plastic connector

The connector is made of plastic with a chrome-looking paint. If you visit the rinse ace website, you'll see that they currently offer 5 versions of this connector. The Chrome, White, and Brass versions are all plastic and are what come in the full sprayer kits. They also offer Satin Nickel and Oil Rubbed Bronze which are both metal connectors. From what I can gather, those two metal connectors are currently only available from the rinse ace website store and are currently ~$15 + shipping.

Works exactly as described. The design that shuts off shower head unless the hose is disconnected is a bit inconvenient. I got around it by connecting a diverter to the shower head and then connecting the unit to the diverter. (The open connector on the unit is blocked because the hose is connected.)

I bought this because of the 8 ft hose. I got it for the dog, he's a Mini Schnauzer and I hate filling the tub up with water, use a cup to wet him with, rinsing in the same dirty water and can't get all the soap off of him. That don't include my back hurting from bending over the tub. The hose is long enough to reach middle ways or beyond. The shower head is small and just right for the dog. I like the feature of where I can flip up the little bar to turn off the water while I'm shampooing the dog and then flip it down to rinse him. Can reach under him to rinse the soap off good. Dog enjoys his shower better than a bath. I don't have to fight with him. Do need to get a short shower chair so I can sit while shampooing him. The hose has to be plugged into the fitting that comes with the unit. It clearly says in the instructions, can't use the regular shower with the hose plugged in. I tried using the hand held shower and it's too small for me and I like having water running on me while I'm bathing. So, I disconnect it. Be extra careful when installing the fitting for both the regular shower head and hose. The fitting is made of plastic and it won't take much to damage it as in turning it too tight, it'll crack. Also, take extra care in hooking up the hose to the fitting. The hose has two tabs on the side that fits into the tab cut out on the fitting. pull the thing on the hose back a little and fit it in where it's suppose to go and once it's in turn clock wise to lock it in place. It's not a hard thing to figure out or put together, just be extra careful because it's made of plastic. Other than that, it's a great thing for both people with medical issue's and pets.

It's Everything I Was Hoping For!

This shower hose works great at a reasonable price. I was able to install it myself, without any help from my husband. It was easy to install, doesn't leak, and has a long hose that reaches to the bottom of the tub with a couple of feet to spare. I love the water flow settings. I originally thought it would be great to bathe my dog with and it is, but it is also great when you just want a bath instead of a shower. It is also great for washing the little ones hair. I love it!

great product for the money

This was purchased for my 85 year old father-in-law.   he sits on a shower chair and he didn't like the shower coming down over him like a rain storm.  His showers became less frequent .   Now he likes showers again.  Easy to install .

Hand held shower

I bought this to wash my dogs. I have 5 rescues. In order to rinse them properly, I needed a longer hose. This is perfect. And it will shut off with one hand so you can work on the dog without the water running and spraying the dog by accident. It hooked up easily, and can be used all the time or just when necessary.
This is a great buy. Made my and the dogs' life easier.

long shower hose

We bought 2 of these and they both work great! One was for my mother after knee surgery and we also got one to rinse the dogs at my house. I found if you do not over tighten the adapter piece you will have better luck with it not dripping. I wish we had bought this years ago!

Dogs and Medical

Ordered this one for me---already had 1 in the extra bathroom to use for the dog. I actually used 1 at my daughter's home that she had for my granddaughter and I liked it so much I ordered this 2nd one for my bathroom. I love the soft spray setting--it rinses my hair soooo well. after I had surgery it also felt good on the soft setting. it also helps rinse the tub on any of the 3 setting.

I love the length! I use it for my dog. She doesn't like bathes and I always have to struggle to get her to the hose. The down side of this product is I have to disconnect the hose to use my shower and the suction cup that comes with the hose to mount in your shower , doesn't suck at all. So not only do you have to disconnect but you can't even hang it out of the way in your shower. Overall, I would still buy it because of the length and the water massage I can give my dog at bath time.

Love the Length!

We had to get this for bathing kids in the tub. Our toilet is up against the side of the tub with the faucet so we needed something long enough to reach to the other side for bathing. And we like our current shower and wanted to be able to remove the corded shower head each time. This is the only one we have found that is detachable and long enough. Works great until it breaks. 2 have randomly broken and now we are on our 3rd. So cheaply made. Doesn't last long
But we haven't found anything to replace it. Good thing it isn't expensive.

breaks easily

This product looked promising, but turned out to be leaky. it sprayed as much water out of the back of the handle as it did out of the nozzle.
