It does roll up and it also has like a pencil sharpener in the opposite end that pulls out to sharpen the tip.

I wrote an email to the Rimmel company. They say use an eye pencil sharpener. I did. It works. I also read online to put the pencil in the refrigerator for a while before sharpening, it helps it to not break. My eye pencil is the Black color. The pencil looks like a twist-up, but it is not. After you sharpen it i looks like a regular eye pencil.

is this a roll up or does it need sharpening?

Use an eye pencil sharpener. I wrote to the company to ask how to sharpen this pencil, it appears to be a twist-up but it is NOT. I put my pencil in the refrigerator for 1-1/2 hours before sharpening. I read that that helps it to not break. It does work. It sharpened GOOD. Use a REAL EYE-pencil sharpener. This pencil would use a small sized opening for the sharpening. I bought Black color.

Put in freezer for 15 minutes and then sharpen with a normal sharpener.

You have to physically sharpen it like a pencil.

How do i sharpen it? The tip broke off and now no product is out of the pencil.

It never smudges for me unless I physically rub my eye. It lasts complete for ~9-10 hours and only at that point does it start slightly fading in color.

I was looking for a black eyeliner that was soft and yet still have staying power. This liner is definitely super soft it doesn't hurt to go on my waterline and lash line. The staying power is ok. I will say that I literally had it on for over 14hrs tho. I reapplied it only once in that time. So if you have a long day and don't mind touching it up at least once, this will be perfect for you. Other than that Id say it's a great product to try.

Thanks to influenster for sending me this product free to try it and all the opinions are all my own . I found my favorite eyeliner!.This is my honestly one of the best I love doing my wing and I hate every time I don't get it even because I put my foundation first and when I wipe to try again I have to put a bit more foundation and all that and it frustrated me sometime. This eyeliner has the tip thin that allows you to make you wing thin or thicker how ever you like it and super easy I just love it and of course i will be purchasing it after I'm done with this one because I love it.

I been looking for years for a eye liner that was waterproof and I found it .this is the best out there and I been waring eyeliner for over 25 years.

Best waterproof eye liner I have ever used ..

I love it!  This liner is much more bold and intense than the typical gel pencil.   It has excellent staying power and the color is fantastic.  Glides right on.  Magic!

I had to contact the manufacturer by email to find out how to sharpen this pencil. It appears to be a twist-up but it is NOT. It is sharpened with an eye-pencil sharpener. It does sharpen! I already had a nice eye-pencil sharpener so I used that. I read online about putting the pencil in the refrigerator before sharpening it, and so I put the pencil in the refrigerator for about 1-1/2 hours. I purchased the black color pencil. The Rimmel (Coty) company I contacted by email was very helpful online, and not only that, they sent me an eye-pencil sharpener in the mail ---- a total surprise to me---- along with 3 perfume samples. I contacted Rimmel. They are actually Coty. I will buy this pencil again, in Black. I have read in reviews that some of the other colors are difficult to sharpen, but the black is GOOD! The pencil glides on smoothly and I am very satisfied and will buy another and more after that. Very good price at Walmart. I love buying things online from Walmart. I think that BETTER INSTRUCTIONS FOR SHARPENING should be on the packaging. Many people have had trouble with this.

Wonderful

I like that this eyeliner is able to make thinner or build up to thicker lines depending how you want to do your wing. It is easy to use and lasts all day. I like how beautiful it looks when I wear it. I received this product free. This is my honest and unbiased review.

Long lasting eyeliner

Not water proof at all. If you like a smudged effect for evening, this is fine. For work, not so much. Not a great item for summer wear. Wears off easily.
