The drive train works like a multi speed bike. The rear rim has power from the motor but is free wheeling when coasting or pushing forward.

Never. No "freewheel" gear. A really heavy batt box to push home.

It is not "free-wheeling". You can push it frontwards like an ordinary bike. It pushes hard in reverse.

It is just like a multi-speed bicycle. It uses a free-wheel to coast forward with the motor disengaged. Pushing backwards the motor is engaged but takes little effort to push. If you wanted to &quot;push&quot; it home like a kick scooter, maybe not. You&#39;d have to push 65+ pounds of scooter plus yourself. It does roll effortlessly forward.

No registration is needed where I live, just buy a headlight and tail light for it and you shouldn't have any problems. ($20 for a decent pair at your local walmart). I generally ride on the sidewalk with my scooter when possible. I first asked a few local law enforcement officers if they would stop me riding on an electric scooter or a gas powered one, they stated that the gas powered one was probably not a good idea as far as they were concerned. 50 cc and up needs to be registered.

nope you do not need a license, its under 50cc's.. I even cruise mine on the sidewalk sometimes and i have never ever had a cop pull me over

In Houston Texas you can only ride it within your neighborhood not on city streets, which is a bummer. Oh, both me and my wife carry motorcycle license and it won't help. Wife got stopped just as she was about to cross a major intersection from our neighborhood to go to Walgreens. Nope turn around and go home said the officer. don't care about your license. I won't give you a ticket this time, Go Home.

Absolutely ! The charger is included. When I first received my Razor Electric, the charger wouldn't operate. I called Razor in California (Save your online email that you got from Wal-Mart when the item was shipped. That's your proof that you received it. They verify the shipment by the code numbers) and told them. They sent me one immediately, post paid. When I hung up from the call, I took the charger and tapped the side of it while it was plugged in and the green light came on and it's worked well ever since. Razor told me to keep it in case the original one quits operating. You also get a rear cargo carry-basket which is not in the original photo. It's very handy, located behind you on the rear fender. A super buy indeed ! I also bought the Wal-Mart 3-year maintenance agreement for something like $36. What a bargain all the way around thanks to Wa-Mart and Razor.
