Handle

This is a 4 star flashlight but I gave it 5 stars because of the cost. There are better flashlights but they cost significantly more. If you want a good but inexpensive light this one is great.

Before buying these LED flashlights, I bought a couple of 1$ ones from a dollar store. They didn't work from the beginning. These worked reliably and are of better quality. Don't waste money on the cheap ones.

Bought it a couple of weeks ago. So far OK.

I recently moved and haven't found the box containing my flashlights yet, so I picked this cheap one up. Have mainly used it in my walk in closet (for some reason there is not a light in there) to find CDs. I have to keep a lot of them in there because my cat chews on those stupid "environmentally friendly" cardboard cases they are using these days. Works fine in there, but not quite as good outside (can't see as far as with my others, but they were $25-30 more. For the price, I can easily recommend it for general use but probably not for camping or similar activities.

So far, so good

One needs needle nosed pliars to pull the battery compartment out of the flashlight after unscrewing the top (bulb holding) section. Grab onto the compartment and pull firmly - it WILL come out. Then change batteries and the compartment slips back into the lower shell easily. It does seem strange how tight the compartment is.

how to change batteries

Flashlight worked well until the batteries died.... Went to replace them today & you cant take the old batteries out (the section that holds them wont come out & is inaccessible). What good is a flashlight if I have to throw it away each time the batteries need replaced?!

Update- husband spent 5min with a screw driver attempting to remove it & was finally successful! Product is still faulty.. It should NOT be that hard to replace batteries!

Battery issue

Bought one for my daughter and not only did it not work, when the batteries were put in, the battery cartridge begin to quickly heat up until it was too hot to handle. I verified the batteries were installed as per instructions. Returning it in the morning. :(

Dangerous

I bought this flashlight for my daughter. When the batteries were put in not only did it not work, but the flashlight heated up until it was too hot to handle. Battery placement was checked and was as per instructions. Initial negative review was not posted by this website.

Feeling burned

This model (actually BRSLED3AAA-B) was sent to me as a warranty replacement (although it was not identical to the light model I returned). There is an issue with the light going on and off when in use depending on how it's held or position it's being used in. From what I can determine, it appears that the batteries are not being held in position tight enough in the cartridge and don't maintain the connection intended when they slip a little out of position. I would appreciate it if I could be sent a coupon , voucher, etc to replace the light in lieu of having to go to the trouble and expense of mailing it back. Please let me know if this would be possible? Thanks.
