Hi snyper77: The Model 500 Flyer 500 car can not be steered with the steering wheel. The child's feet would determine the direction that the car moves.

Hi snyper77: The Model #500 Flyer 500 has a steering wheel that does not turn the tires. The car will turn in the direction in which the child moves/turns.

My kids have to keep the feet level and up in the air. Otherwise, it would not roll very far. It does not sound as bad because their feet are not very long. I think it is designed for kids less than 4 feet tall.

No problem. From youngest, 16 mos. to oldest, 5 yrs. they all seem to hold their feet up on the front end just fine.

Hi Heather: The Model #500 Flyer 500 and many of our ride-on toys do not include foot rests/pegs because the foot rests/pegs can sometimes block the kick-path a child uses to propel themselves forward and backward.

We didn&#39;t have a problem with his feet hitting anything. He is one years old.

Have had the Step2 coaster with the bumps in front for the feet, for over 10 years. Many children have played on it. After showing them where to put their feet on their first ride, every single one of them have always just stuck their feet out, thereafter. I&#39;m not sure why because they seem to go further with the feet on the foot rests, So I doubt they would use them even if there were any.

I see there is no footrest. Do their feet get in the way much and keep them from rolling better?

Hi minimouse: The Model 500 Flyer 500 can be used both indoors and outdoors. We recommend that it is not used near motor vehicles, streets, roadways, alleys, swimming pool areas, hills, steps sloped driveways, inclines and public highways. It should also be used on level ground and away from any structure or obstruction such as a fence or garage. Lastly, it should not be installed over concrete, asphalt, packed earth or any other hard surfaces.

On the papers it says yes it can be used inside or outside just don't leave it outside.

We use ours indoors, but I do not see why it can't be used outdoors. I recommend a bicycle helmet if used outdoors, on hard surfaces.
