Will this remote work on a DTV converter box by Digital Stream? DTX9950

Blue ray is not listed. The description included TVs, VCRs, DVDs players, satellite receivers, cable boxes and digital TV converter boxes. Sony DVD player codes were listed.

Will it work with a Sony blue-ray player?

I bought 2 remotes .. one for the living room with the Sharp tv and it works .. other is the Emerson portable tv and it works also.

Great product, easy to program. Even works with my very rear viewsonic 40 inch LCD tv. Works with AT&T uverse dvr as well. Only grip which is very very minor, I wish the enter button was some where near the top. Didn't effect my rating for that though.

Best bang for the buck

I bought a discounted, 55 inch Sanyo tv that was returned to the store because the remote was missing.  I took a chance and ordered this RCA remote, which was the cheapest one sold.  I really had my doubts that it would program to this tv.  This remote is only sold online at my Walmart, so had to order, and pick up at the store about 5 days later.  The codes given in the instruction didn't work, but when I tried the second method,  which tries all codes, it recognized about the 25th code.  Works like a charm and saved me 40 bucks not having to by an original Sanyo remote.  I am going to order another one for my Samsung tv now.

Affordable,  ergonomic, and functional

At last, a universal remote that works with digital converter boxes.
Even better than the lost original Magnavox converter box remote, as this one allows direct channel entry via the number keypad, of which the original did not have numbered buttons, but only channel up(+) and down(-).
Used direct code entry, and there was only a single code for Magnavox converter boxes, so no need to do any code search, or try random direct entry codes to get the right one, since there was only one code, at least for Magnavox converter boxes.
Operates up to 4 devices, including VCR, TV, Digital Converter Box/Satellite/Cable box, and DVD/Auxilliary, though programming the DVD/Aux component button, was a bit confusing, and different than programming the other component buttons, which were a snap.
Even Radio Shack claimed they did not sell a universal remote for Converter boxes.
Very small and lightweight, and takes the smaller "AAA"-size batteries.
Also has Mute, Last Channel, and Source buttons.
Only $6.00 and shipping is free, if you have it shipped to a Walmart store, from their online website store, to later do the store pickup.
TV volume button works while controlling the converter box, like an automatic macro, so you don't have to shuttle between the DTC (Digital Tv Converter) component button, and the TV component button, every time you want to adjust the TV volume, while you already flipping thru channels in the DTC button mode.
Automatic TV volume macro comes pre-programmed, so there's no need to setup or follow complicated macro instructions.
Highly recommend.

Universal remote for digitatal converter boxes

This device does have a learning curve. I found out by pressing the number buttons is how I move between menu options on the screen. No where was this in the instructions, so yeah it works, you just may have to play with it.

best value for the $

Works on tv. Vcr, dvd, and converter box. Love that the different buttons work. Have some extra. To ensure that do not have to hunt for remote when want to watch something.

I had the remote my insignia tv came with and the volume up button was completely demolished. If you sat there and tried, you could hit it just right and get it to work. No one has time for that. I ordered this, it almost has a hollow feeling? It's small and was extremely easy to set up. I did it wrong a few times until I got it right but that's obviously a me problem. It works, it's lightweight and small, that's all I needed!

I bought this product to replace the original remote that came with an Ilo TV - not a very popular brand. it was very simple to set-up. the very first code worked and the item operates all functions on the tv except for one. there is no button on the remote (like there is on the original) to show channel info (what's on and show description, etc.). put that button on this item and it would be perfect.

great - but...

I ordered this due to price, brand, and other reviews. Giving the benefit of doubt, the problems I had may somehow be my fault, or the fault of my tv. At any rate the setup wasn't as easy as I think it should be. Following the directions I had no luck getting the remote to access my tv so I was forced to use the code search method, which took 61 hits to the on/off button. After that the tv would turn on/off, and the channel and volume would work but not the sleep or menu buttons. With the sleep function being important for me, I took the thing back for a refund and decided to order a factory replacement for my broken original.

Not so hot

Tried to apply it to a Toshiba television.  The process included two different methods for obtaining codes.  The search code function never worked.  The codes for the Toshiba brand included 10+ codes and none of them worked.
