The description is incorrect. There are three 1 cup, three 2 cup, three 4 cup, and one 7 cup...all with lids. All containers are round..no rectangle.

they are all round. i think i saw a rectangular set in the store, but this set is as shown....round only.

I would have bought two sets if it included the rectangle dishes with blue lids, but the picture is what you'll get if you order them.

This 20-piece set is 10 round bowls with 10 round red plastic lids. You would have to purchase a different set for rectangular dishes.

The picture is accurate. I made the mistake thinking the description would be the most accurate, but received all round dishes with red lids.

The set with the rectangular/square is a different set - I guess the other color WAS blue

I purchased this set (Pyrex model #1105412). It contains 1 seven cup, 3 four cup, 3 two cup and 3 one cup containers (plus appropriate lids). This is neither what is pictured nor described.

Yes they can, the lid as well but I cover the glassware w/cellephane or microwave lid to preserve life of the set.

These are tempered glass dishes, so I have been using them in the microwave oven quite often. And they can be used in a conventional oven, too. Just be sure NOT to put the plastic lids in the microwave (or conventional) oven!

I love these pyrex storage bowls with lids. They are so versatile and durable. And they are much safer for my family than plastic storage containers. I've had a set for a couple of years now and they are still just as good as when I first purchased them. I feel they'll last a long, long time.

I ordered a set for both our daughters, our daughter-in-law, and my mother-in-law for Christmas, as we are always sharing meals and "leftovers" with each other. So I've decided to put my initials on the lids of mine with a Sharpie, which stays on after washing them, so we can know which ones belong to whom.

The glass is thick enough that it doesn't chip or break easily, because I've never chipped or broken one yet. I use it for microwaving leftovers too, but be careful because the container does get hot!

I was happy to find I could order online because my Walmart store doesn't seem to carry them anymore.

Love my Pyrex storage set!

I prefer food storage in glass to plastic. Pyrex is microwave-, oven- and dishwasher-safe. I always feel clean-up is germ-free, as I can use very hot water, without damage to the bowls. The plastic lids can't take extreme heat, so don't put them into a dish washer. They may not seal enough to keep air out. When I don't get a tight fit, I seal with Press'n Seal, then put the lid on for stackability. They make fridge space more usable because you can stack them. I use my plastic containers for freezer storage, only. Pyrex has been dependable for decades...all of mine!

Pyrex doesn't absorb flavors or colors as plastic.

we keep buying more and more of these and have thrown out all our plastic storage containers. the plastic leaches off chemicals like BPA. these glass containers are great for lunch and refrigertor storage and can go in oven or freezer. they don't leak. and you can use them as food preparation and mixing bowls.

I was pleased that these items nest inside one another...not completely nested, but enough so I only have to have 2 stacks. Sizes are different enough so lids are easy to match up with proper bowls.

Pyrex is always a good idea. Glass storage containers won't stain or lose their shape. You can wash and bake in them...then throw a lid on them and throw them in the fridge. 8 do wish I could find lid replacements, though.

Pogue's Life Hacks recommended multi-use glassware to ease Kitchen stressors.  He was right!!  This Pyrex set can go from fridge to microwave or receive piping hot cooked items from the stove!!  We can eat straight from the containers!  No more transferring from tupperware to glass plate to serve and back to store!  Ha-HA!!
And these are the sizes we most commonly use and store.  We're so pleased!

Great sizes + Ease-of-use

I wanted to make soup for a sick friend to have available  in her freezer to thaw out a few servings at a time. Plastic is not safe for freezing, so the glass containers were perfect for this. And the price was the best I have seen.
