This one is not but purine one has a grain free that is chicken and sweet potato

All Products that are Grain Free will SAY it on the Bag, if you don&#39;t see it then it has some grain in it

If I am not mistaken it says so right on the bag

No. They would have Grain Free all over the package if it were, and someone posted the ingredients in answer to another question above, and among other things, whole wheat is listed. I think I still might try it, but it is not Grain Free

We received our bag of Purina One Smartblend, True instinct with real turkey and venison and I opened it up and poured some into my dogs bowl. The first thing I noticed is the meaty morsels mixed into the dry food triangles. It is real turkey and venison and it looks like little pieces of jerky. The food is pretty hardy with the meat and the dry mixed in together. I also noticed that the food doesn’t smell badly or have a very strong odor like a lot of dog food out there. My dog Bella was immediately wiggling around and wagging her little stubby tail as I poured and examined the food. When I put the food down she immediately chowed down and continued to be excited like she does when she occasionally gets canned wet dog food. So, in Bella’s opinion she was getting a treat! I took a few pictures of her chowing down and enjoying herself. I read the bag and I am pleased to see that it is indeed real meat bits and has 4 antioxidant sources and includes “nutrient dense” foods. I believe it is really important what food I put into my dog. She is a Border Collie/Mcnab mix and she is very high energy and active and I love her dearly. I usually feed her a high priced dog food that you purchase at the vets office and this looks as high quality as that, if not more! She definitely seems to like it more than her usual food and again acted like she was getting a treat. I really believe the lack of stink of this food is saying a lot, it smells like actual food and not like chemicals. I would feed this to my dog full time and I recommend it for any dog parents out there.

Doesn't smell like chemicals! Good dog food!

I have a dog who is food sensitive and the wrong foods made him itchy and miserable, after what seemed like forever I found this product and Augus has never been happier and itch free.

Life saver

Soon after adopting Sami (now a 2-yr old black lab/golden doodle) started on Purina one Chicken and Rice. Switched to True Instinct  Turkey %26 Venison per vet due to possible allergy to chicken. They seem to have changed their formula as there are more chunky pieces, which she likes, less of the triangles (she and my daughter's dogs not crazy about triangles, but are leaving less in bowl). Sami is very healthy on this formula. Her coat is full and shiny.  Weight staying within guidelines and no fat. Eyes shiny, lots of energy. She can be finicky so I occasionally scatter a 1-1/2 piece of crumbled PupPeroni in her meals. Bowels regular and well formed. Sami is a happy dog. Will keep her on this brand and formula as long as she likes it.

Our golden doodle is allergic to chicken and has limited options in dog food because of his sensitive stomach but this dog food is gentle on his stomach. He says “it's tasty” ruff

Great quality dog food

Purina One arrived today and so I put one cup of Purina Beneful (Jake's usual brand of food) in one dish and one cup of the new Purina One food in another dish. He could smell them both as I opened the bags, so when I set them down and offered them to him, he went right to the dish with the Purina One. He ate every bit and didn't once stop to smell the other dish. Usually when I've tried to introduce a new food he doesn't want to try it. He will eat it if that's all I'm willing to give him, but he won't eat it all at once and keeps coming to me and going to his dish. I then tell him to just eat it and he does eat a little more and so it goes until it's finally gone. But, what he really likes is his Beneful. So was I surprised when he put his head right in that dish and didn't stop until it was gone. Now two days later I have been mixing both foods and he eats it right down. Yes, I will buy this product again and would suggest it to my friends who have dogs.

Jake loved new food

Have a rescue 80lb tripod who loves it. She get wet Cesar's as a topping. My other 4 rescues r on Purina Pro plan and  she will go on that also. But this is getting her use to taste and texture. Her previous owner fed her human food only like what she ate  pizza hamburgers take out! A college student!
