Used these for a pumpkin craft project. Turned out great. Would have purchased more, but store was sold out.

“Fall” for these!

It is what you would expect from a cheaper priced item like this. It is sturdy, smooth, and easily paintable. I bought 6 of these, and one or two had some darker spots that I had to paint over a few times with a base coat.

Good for crafts

Just what I needed to cover up a hole in my bathroom door and to screw a hook to hang clothes etc when taking a shower.

Positive purchase

It was the right shape and size that I need for my little project to do I had to get something off of the height of two and a half feet because of my grandson I was able to put it up about 6 ft with that little plaque

Grandson protection

This worked great for what I needed it for. My kids and I made little name plaques for their doors. Very thin and lightweight. Would not recommend for something that is going outside or might be handled a lot.

Great for small crafts

I have bought several of these in all sizes. My husband likes to use them to practice his wood burning tool.. and my daughter loves to paint them.
We bought a whole pkg of small circles at Xmas time and we all painted ornaments for our tree, it was a great family project!

Great for crafts of all kinds!

Affordable

hanging on my wall! the boyfriend uses these to create painted mosaic type things for wall hanging,  and this one turned out better than i ever imagined.

looks great

Kind of thin but it got the job done.  We used these to make halloween costume contest trophies.  Used for the base.  I glued a coaster under to make it looked slightly raised.  I agree with the other reviewer about the stickers and staples being hard to get off, luckily For what I needed them for I could cover it up but I can see it being a pain for other projects!

This oval wooden plaque was such a disappointment!   
It is literally wafer thin.  It will be impossible to screw a hanger onto the back, since it will most definitely protrude through the front surface.  
It's made of a scratchy, course cut of wood with very rough edges.  The grain is porous in spots, which will result in the uneven absorption of paint or stain.  And as if this all  wasn't bad enough - the display tag is stapled right into the wood, leaving 2 gaping holes right on the surface, rendering it useless for  any decorative projects. 
This may be suitable for children who aren't too particular about their projects looking absolutely perfect, but for seasoned crafters,  this plaque is virtually useless.
