Yes it does include 1 filter. I purchased a 3 pack along with it and change it about every 3 months or so(all depends on how often you have to refill w/water. I refill mine every couple of days. Hope this helps, has great tasting water without all the bottles.

No. I would change every six months if you use a tank a day. Assuming your water supply is not overly nasty.

No, they say the filter will last 2 months. Just put a sticky note with a date on the top & change the filter in 2 months. Filters are reasonably priced for a package of 3 @ Walmart.

Does it have a "Time to Change the Filter" indicator?

There is a decal you place on the filter that indicates the month you begin using the filter in green. As you use it and the months go buy it shows a red indicator. You should change the filter at this time.

No light, what comes with it and with each new filter is a round decal (monthly dial) sticks to the side, also a 2month pie shaped sticker. You put that sticker on top starting at right edge of the month you are in and ends on the month to change filter. Just start the sticker 1 month further out if you feel you can go 3 months before changing filter.

There is a red indicator on the top of the filter that let you know when a new one is needed.

A set of stickers is provided with dates so that you remember to change every two months.

There is a sticker that's included with the filter (I placed mine on the calendar, but I think it goes on the dispenser) as a reminder to when the filter needs changing. PUR suggest changing the filter every 2 months.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far we like this water filter.  We like to keep it in the refrigerator to keep the water cold and re-fill as needed.   It doesn't take up too much room and makes our city water taste a bit better.  We like the dispensing spout because it's easy for my kids to use so I don't have to worry about them dropping a heavy pitcher of water.   They can just get their glass and pour some water.  Otherwise very easy to use.  Just add water.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have really enjoyed using the Pur water dispenser and filtration system.  We feel it makes the faucet water taste better and it also has helped us decrease the usage of plastic water bottles and saves money.  It has been a win/win for us.  While this dispenser holds a lot, I often filter extra water and save in a separate pitcher that I can use for my coffee machine daily.  I like the spout for easy dispensing, it's also easy to use for my grandchildren, it allows them to be able to fill up their own water bottles without lifting a large container.  The container can be easily set up in the fridge or even on the counter when company is over for easy usage.  The dispenser filters out water fairly quickly, so there is no worry of running out of water.  Overall, we have been very pleased with our Pur water dispenser.
