Hey, it's aluminum, like in "metal"! How hot does it have to get before it melts?

You should be ok but you will scratch the surface for sure.

Yes, absolutely. There is no special coating - it's just aluminum and pretty stable - I wouldn't hesitate to put a cast iron pot hot from the fire on it.

Yes. Hot items on this table should be no problem. Table is constructed of aluminum and metal.

I keep the citronella candles on mine, those metal three wick type that get really hot, with no problem. And I put hot food and hot food containers on it all the time. Have never had any problem with that or damage to the table.

The melting point of aluminum is over 1,200 degrees fahrenheit.

Can I place hot items (i.e. Pie irons, aluminum foil packets, etc.) on this without any concern?

Yes you can, but you must make sure that the table is level. I use a single burner from Coleman that is attached to the top of a propane bottle. I was concerned about the height of everything especially when I have a pot on top. I never leave it unattended, so it's not a problem. Don't see why I larger grill wouldn't work. The table surface area is 18.5X19.5.

I used it this weekend just for that. I bought it for my portable gas grill and it worked great.

Its dimensions are 21"L x 9"W x 28.8"H so if you grill is smaller than that you are good to go.

I don't think that would be a problem as long as the grill wasn't too large or too heavy.

I'm going to use mine for (among other things) to set my propane fish cooker on, which weighs a good 10-12 lbs, maybe a little more. I haven't used it yet but know it will support 30-4o lbs.

This table is for light duty work and I wouldn't take the chance of finding out if it can take the heat.

We camp in our RV a lot and love this table. It's big enough to share between two people (not 9" wide as the description says - probably more like 19"). It's as sturdy and stable as you can expect for a table that folds up. We had a smaller plastic one that got dirty and couldn't be cleaned, but this one wipes off very well. We had one already, and I just bought another for when we don't want to share it. Since it folds up flat it's great for storing in our limited RV space.

Our Second One

I bought this table to hold a laptop at night next to my bed for on-call work I sometimes have to do at night. I wanted something that was compact enough to fit in a closet and light enough to take in and out easily, as I only want to use it at night.

I am so glad I didn't get a regular TV tray. This has worked out perfectly. The top is deeper than a regular TV tray so it fits the laptop and the pager. It sets up level to the top of the bed.

It is quite sturdy. I would say the laptop weighs more than 10 lbs and I have no worries about the table not bearing the weight. Setup and takedown are a breeze. The surface is in 2 halves and you just lift them up, which makes the legs fold flat. I can carry it easily. I doubt it weighs more than 2 lbs.

The one slight negative for me is that it IS metal so I have to be careful not to nick wooden furniture with it during setup or take down. It does however have plastic feet so it's ok on a wood floor.

Very happy with this purchase as far as value for the price.

Roomy, sturdy, light

This table is small and light enough to easily to transport to a campsite. I plan on putting it in a cart with my other gear and it takes very little space. I will use this to prepare food on, and since I am short this table will work fine for me. If you are tall, this table may be to low for you to stand at.

Glad I bought it

I bought this table because a friend has one. I haven't used it yet, but I know it wll do the job. Sets up easily and stores well. Very lightweight and very sturdy. Going to take it to outdoor concerts & car shows. Also set it up on my porch to set my fish cooker on...so much better than a TV tray.

nice folding table

This lightweight table is perfect for camping. We set it outside the our camper and used it for our coffee maker and toaster in the morning, then drinks and snacks in the afternoon. It's light in weight but strong and sturdy. A great value for the price.

Great table for camping

I had two of these already and needed another they are light durable and easy to pack and set up. Easy to clean and have recommended them to friends. It is an excellent buy

FOLDING TABLE

Nice looking sturdy table that is a better table height than the plastic type that looks like this one. It is more stable than the plastic ones, too. This is our second Ozark Trail folding table.

This table is light, portable and seems sturdy. I've used it once at a picnic and it works exactly as expected. I can't comment on durability because I haven't had it for very long. Using a table cloth to cover the gaps in the top are the only recommendation I would give.

Sturdy, great value for price

I bought this because it is so light weight, used it in the tent while camping. Very sturdy, worked great. The  only issue, this table has plastic pieces in the ends of the aluminum and they were falling out. So we had to glue them in, but I am going to buy another one for the tent.

Aluminum Table

This table was completely broken when it arrived:
- All four legs were bent/broken
- Two leg caps were missing
- Both sides were broken/scratched/rusting
- There was no receipt/packing slip in the box.

This is the fourth time I've tried to write this review and post pictures of the damage; and each time the system errors out with the photos; so I am posting this without.

This purchase and now return have been a complete waste of my time.
Don't waste yours.
