i take the same meds and i&#39;ve never noticed anything with my hair. it&#39;s supposed to clean residue from other shampoo if you use it once a week.

Actually, this is how I found out about this product.  Many years ago, my hairdresser used it on me before she permed my hair.
I can&#39;t substantiate the claim about ridding residue caused by medication, but I would definitely offer up that you try it and see if it works for you.

We recommend that this product only be used once a week. Then use your other favorite shampoo the rest of the week and it will work better than ever before!

Follow the directions. Yes, if you use it more offten it will strip our hair! I use it to remove salon color sometimes.

Neutrogena says to only use this once a week &amp; use &quot;my favorite shampoo&quot; the rest of the time. Guess what Neutrogena! My long time favorite was Neutrogena Clean Volume &amp; you&#39;ve discontinued it! I&#39;ve been using Neutrogena shampoo for over 30 years because I&#39;m so allergic to other products, but yours was safe to use &amp; left my skin &amp; hair in great shape. I don&#39;t know what I&#39;m going to do once my last bottle of Neutrogena Clean Volume runs out. I&#39;m really feeling ticked off about all this!

Can I use it as my regular (only) shampoo? Or will it dry out or harm my hair or skin?

Cannot answer about this shampoo. But what does work.....make a shampoo paste of baking soda and seltzer water. Let it stay on for several minutes then rinse with the seltzer. Also wet the hair with seltzer water before getting into chlorine.
