NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: The Eleventh Season (DVD), Paramount, Action & Adventure

Losing Ziva up front, then the Dad at the end was a bit much for on season. The tender scenes between Tony and Ziva were some of the most poignant in the series. They had to go big and they did. The episode dealing with losing Gibbs senior was a strange twist. Combining the personal loss with a terrorist? Out of bounds. The two parter introducing King and the next spinoff was a real reach. Having Gibbs hug a guy and call him "My brother" was way out of character for Gibbs or a real Marine. I didn't feel chemistry between the LA office staff, and the blonde replacement for Ziva was, Bishop, will be tough to take for granted. Tony and McGee are trying too hard to mesh differently than all 10 seasons. But the DVDS was a worthwhile expenditure. I didn't find NCIS until season 8 or 9, but it was a joy to catch up by watching all 11 seasons without commercials or missing episodes due to schedule conflicts. Great show. Great cast. Mark Harmon has become so entwined with his character, I can't see him in any other character. Kudos cast and crew alike. I will keep buying DVDs or downloads as long as the quality stays up there. At least the writers haven't ruined NCIS like the other three spinoffs (I can't stand watching them), The Unit, and others. Let's hope they don't make tony a too-decent human being or cut Abbey off the show. The Unit became a soap opera,
