I think the chair is both comfy and firm. We bought two for our every day use as two accent chairs in the living room.  You would need an accent colored kidney bean pillow for back support (if you want to be slouchy), but we love the chairs.  I bought two poofs from All Modern, and we use those as ottomans as needed. I REALLY like the dark grey color and fabric.

Was worried about ordering furniture online, but took a chance.  Chair is fantastic!  Cushion is firm but not rock hard. Feels like it will get even more comfortable over time without breaking down completely.

There is a dent on the middle of the left hand side of the sofa? which is due to missing insulation in the spot. I have requested a replacement.

Other than that, it's a good sofa.
