Yes! It is one of the best oils you can put in 05-06 PD 1.9 TDI motor. I highly recommend it as it reduces CAM wear which can be a major problem.

YES! VW recommends this for all the TDI engines. I use it in my Beetle 1.9L TDI and Touareg V10 TDI. My dealership uses this on oil changes, but I get it here cheaper.

This oil was formulated for low sulfer diesels. I use it in my 06' TDI and 08' Jeep with Bluetec CRD by MB.

Is this product approved by VW for Specs VW505 or later?

I drove a Jetta TDI for over 1 million miles after using only this type of oil. Sold her while still running perfectly just because I wanted a new car. So, in my opinion, since Audi and WVs are produced by the same entity, there is no better oil for your diesel car than this one

Unfortunately not due to the diesel particulate filter. The sulfated ash content apparently will clog up the DPF. I am running M1 ESp 5w-30 in my 2.0 Audi A3 TDI. If I lost my DPF I'd be all over M1 TDT.

Is this safe to use in my Audi Q7 TDI 2014?,It require 5w-40 (507 00).

Yes, it sure is! In fact, I've been flip-flopping between this oil and Motorcraft's 5W-40 FULL synthetic for my PSD 6.0L, but I cannot find a Ford dealer which carries that Motorcraft oil in stock. And, unfortunately, Walmart does not carry it either. I wish they did! So, most likely, I'll be using Mobil 1 which is an awesome oil and it is CJ4 compliant. I've read very good reviews about it. Hope this helps.

A very popular product, so this product is usually not on the shelf at most stores and you can easily waste time, money, and travel thinking it is on the shelf for purchase like you would expect. Arranging for in-store pick-up is the only way to buy this product and guarantee that the trip to buy this product was worthwhile. There is no upcharge for in-store delivery and you can plan your purchase better.

Mercedes strongly suggests Mobil 1 and having a diesel   the 5w-40 turbo diesel lubricant in my SUV  is just one more thing NOT to worry about  " THAT's A GOOD THING"  :)

This oil isn't for just diesel engines. It is also approved for cars. I use this oil for my Lotus Elise because it is one of the few oils that still has high ZDDP (a zinc additive), and Lotus recommends a 5W40 weight. High ZDDP extends the life of engines that have high pressure sliding surfaces, which is more common in high compression engines (like diesel engine piston rings - hence the name of the oil). On my car, the primary concern is sliding valve rocker arms for my high RPM cams (it has rollers for the low RPM cams like most modern engines). The downside of zinc additives, and the reason it has been reduced in regular car oil, is that it shortens the life of the catalytic converter. But, I would rather replace my catalytic converter than my engine.

The Toyota and Pontiac cars with the 2ZZ-GE engine have this same issue (2000-2005 Celica GTS, upgraded Matrix, Pontiac Vibe, possibly others).

What I don't like about the value is that it is more expensive than other Mobil 1 Synthetic oils, and only comes in 4 quart jugs instead of the standard 5 quart jugs (my car needs 5 quarts for an oil change). My solution was to buy 5 jugs at one time using the site-to-store option, which was very convenient as it turned out it was not stocked on the shelf. It was only in the warehouse in the back of the store.

I am very happy that Walmart carries this superior product! This is the best oil you can put in your diesel!

I got this for half the price on what I paid at an auto parts store. The strange thing is, I never saw it on the shelves, even after looking many times, but found it online and picked it up at the store I normally shop at!

This oil gets excellent ratings in used oil analysis. I used it in my '06 5.9 Liter Dodge Cummins turbo diesel truck. The 250,000 mile engine only consumed 1/2 quart of this oil over 6000 miles. As always, ensure this oil is appropriate for your car before adding it to the engine.

Good Value for Diesel Engines

Today (3/7/20) I purchased 2 gallons of 5W-40 Mobil 1 TDT. During my oil change I noticed whil pouring the second gallon, the oil color was different from the first gallon. It appears to be 2 diferent products in the same labeling, nothing denoted "new formula" or any other changes, just a slightly different label design on the back.
