I purchased this paste wax to finish a table I had built for the family.

After finishing the table I had about half a can of wax left and did not want it to go bad. So I decided to use it to wax the top of my table saw, my jointer, my router table and so on. 

Now my work pieces glide effortlessly while being cut.

I have used this product forever. I wish they would put it in a container you could get your hand in, There is no easy way to get wax on your rag after it is half used.

I'm a rank amateur at wood finishing. When new solid pine shelving and doors were installed in my condo, I figured I'd be like everyone else and just finish them with polyurethane.

Well, no matter what I tried and how many YouTube videos I watched, my venture in poly turned into a disaster. I was ready to just paint all that pine, when I stumbled upon Minwax Paste Finishing Wax as an alternative.

After applying Watco Danish Oil to the woodwork and doors, I applied the paste finishing wax. It's just like waxing a car, except additional applications increase the shine. I settled on 3 "coats", spaced about an hour apart. Much easier than poly to work with, as is cleanup, of which there is virtually none.

All I've read is, finishing wax is not for heavy use areas such as tabletops, but repairs or worn spots only require rubbing on some wax, letting it dry, and buffing it out. It remains to be seen how long lasting it will be on my closet shelves and pine doors but after about a year, I'm still impressed.

A Polyurethane Alternative

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used after finishing dining table and chairs. Creates a beautiful finish with no residue. I used the Natural Finish and after buffing it was a 100% clear finish. Being a wax you don't need to worry about spills or messes. It is super easy to apply. In conclusion I would highly recommend this product. The item description was just as described and I would buy it again.

Great Finish

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a wooden table that needed to be restored.  I use the paste on it.  Overall, I was completely satisfied with the turn out. It brought the dullest back to like.  Not a shiny but I could see the difference.  Doesn't really take away scratches, but it does make the surface a little smoother.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I have used this on the more worn areas of my hardwood flooring as well as my dining room table top and a dresser. This is as easy to apply as the floor wax they've sold for decades, but seems to produce a harder, slightly glossier finish. The great thing about it is that the application is simple (either use some elbow grease or a buffer-- but there is no complicated procedure) and the waiting time (before everything dries and you can use it again) is 10-20 minutes. It does have a somewhat strong odor to it, but it dissipates fairly quickly and is hardly noticeable a few hours later and seems to be pretty much entirely gone the following day.

A Little Elbow Grease for a Good Shine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put this Miniwax paste finishing wax on the top of an old coffee table that I have that is pretty beat up and it did certainly improve the appearance of the table. 
Directions to recommend using a buffer polisher and I really think it would've been better if I had one of those but I just used a clean cloth. Definitely improved The looks and I think if I keep it up it will really look much better after a few more applications.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wax filled in a scratch our dogs made on the floor pretty easily and nice, until I wiped it away as per step two and the scratch seemed noticeable again. I think this would be ideal if you add a little more than you may think if it's not hiding the imperfection well. I am going to try again with a thicker coat and see how it does. When I paired this with the Minwax Reviver afterwards, the scratch practically disappeared though, despite my thin coat of paste prior. Both together seem to be the dream team duo!

Maybe I need to establish expectation management but I thought this was a way different product. I just don't have a use for this. I thought it was going to add more color to my wood than it did and overall I'm just disappointed with this product.
