Crunchy, tasty and not chalky.  Hard to find 30 G protein in one bar, even though this is the biggest bar I have ever purchased!

Delicious and a satisfying meal replacement

I was advised by my doctor to eat more protein, these are a little more expensive , but can be used as a meal replacement, and don't taste like cardboard dipped in chocolate. There are several different flavors, and they have 30 or 31 mg of protein.

Tastes better than chocolate dipped cardboard.

These are my favorite flavor.  They remind me of a Take5. They are a little high in sugar in my opinion but overall decent nutrient wise.

Great Flavor

A little too sweet, but the texture is awesome. It has actual pieces of pretzel on the top.

Good texture

The MetRX brand uses actual sugar, including high fructose corn syrup, in every bar. These are CANDY BARS NOT DAILY FOOD.

The peanut butter pretzel bar is super delicious! Sticky caramel, crunchy pretzels, thick peanut butter cookie, with real chocolate and heavy cream. And it's a huge bar. It's like a yoked snickers bar made of crack. With 27g of added sugar, and 410 calories, it is definitely candy. STRAIGHT UP CANDY! 

There are leaner, cleaner, less expensive, healthier options to get 30g of protein. For example, two 3oz cans of tuna fish would be 140 calories and over 32g of pure low fat protein. Or 3tablespoons of unsweetened milk protein powder would be 30g of pure protein for only 120 calories. 

If your special dietary needs require a protein-rich diet, there are so many better options. 

But if you're just a regular person who occasionally likes a drool-inducing dessert, this is a wonderful candy bar brand to try. You'll basically be getting a bigass double size candy bar that's fortified with vitamins and minerals and a big dose of protein. That's a pretty good profile for a dessert. Pecan pie has a similar amount of sugar and slightly fewer calories than this bar, but no where near the amount protein, nor as many vitamins and minerals. And just like pecan pie, this dessert is so decadent you'll lick the foil! 

For me, half a bar is plenty. And I can't imagine eating half of a candy bar every single day. Nor do I pretend these bars are some type of health food or smart choice for nutrition. 

You need to be honest -eyes open- about what you're choosing to eat. It's candy. And that's ok! It's ok to eat candy. In moderation. Just don't let the Met Rx marketing fool you into thinking this is a replacement for a meal. This is a very very very delicious candy bar.
