Our 8 year old neighbor rides it (who is more than 50 lbs), but the car is much smaller than the picture portrays, Power Wheels are a little bigger because their doors open allowing for extra space. I wouldn't buy this car again.

It should be big enough. My three year old grandson has to sit on the edge of the seat to reach the accelerator pedal. It has room for two with a total weight limit of 130lbs. It says it's for kids up to age seven, but I guess you wouldn't be able to use it as long if your child is older and/or larger. My suggestion would be to go into a store and let your child try out something on display which has the same weight capacity.

Its actually a great size car. my 2 year old sits at the tip of the seat so she has plenty of room to grow with it. Im 5'4 and I fit in it but squeezing my knees in, so a 5 year old should fit, just fine.

yes but not for long at all. my son is 43 inches tall, hes 4 but this was bought for 2 year old daughter. my son has the power wheels f150, plenty of size

THE CAR CAN HOLD UP TO 120 LBS. THERE IS PLENTY OF ROOM AND SOMETIMES MY 9 YEAR OLD DRIVES HIS BROTHER OF 2 AROUND IN IT.

Is the car big enough for a 5 yr old that ways about 53lbs. The car looks pretty small,so that is the only thing stopping me from purchasing it.

The wheels and tires are plastic, with a tire tread design that works best on pavement.

THE WHEELS ARE PLASTIC BUT I ADDED A STRIP OF RUBBER AROUND EACH WHEEL FROM USING 1" BUNGEE CORDS AND GLUED THEM ON WITH GOOP GLUE. NOW THE CAR GOES LIKE CRAZY AND NO MORE SPINNING THE WHEELS.

They have to "crawl" into it. But there is a running board to step up on. I wouldn't purchase this car again, it was more expensive than the Escalade Power Wheels and much cheaper.

THE DOORS DO NOT OPEN BUT IT IS VERY EASY FOR MY 2 YEAR OLD TO GET IN AND OUT BY HIMSELF.

The doors do not open. But it's easy to climb into.

BOUGHT THIS FOR MY 2 YEAR OLD GRANDSON FOR HIS BIRTHDAY. PRESENTED IT TO HIM WITH MANY GUESTS PRESENT AND EVERYONE LOVED THE CAR, ESPECIALLY MY GRANDSON'S GIRL COUSINS WHO COULD NOT WAIT TO GO FOR A RIDE AND DRIVE THE CAR. MY GRANDSON IS STILL SMILLING AND WOULD TAKE IT TO BED WITH HIM. I BOUGHT THE SPARE BATTERY, FROM THE MANUFACTURER, WHICH FITS INTO THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT VERY EASILY SO NOW HE CAN RIDE ALL DAY IF HE WANTS TO. THE CAR WAS EASY TO ASSEMBLE AND HAS WORKED PERFECTLY. I DRILLED OUT THE AREA WHERE THE KEY GOES AND PUT IN A KEY LOCK SO HE NOW HAS HIS OWN CAR KEY, WHICH HE IS HOLDING IN THE PICTURE.
