Yes, we have a very small balcony and it is perfect. We just pull it away from the wall a bit while in use.

In an Apt. Can it be used safely on a balcony?

I wouldn't. The meat will put off a smoke when cooking.

We run it on a standard 15 am household circuit, only tripped the breaker once when I hooked up another power draw in the same circuit.

This is the 2nd one that I have bought. I gave my first one away though I loved it and got the table top model because the first one came with the cart and was a challenge to put together. This grill is great - no one that has tasted the results has ever guessed it was electric. If you are thinking about an electric grill try this one. Beats the other electric grill I tried before coming back to Meco. My cart model came with the rotisserie - I am disappointed that the "Deluxe" model did not come with that attachment.

This is the 2nd Meco grill we have owned. We originally bought our first one when we lived in a condo and only electric grills were permitted on the decks. We now live in a house where any type of grill could be used but because we love the Meco so much, we bought a new one. We mainly grill chicken breasts, pork chops, hamburgers, turkey burgers, sausages, and steaks. The feature we really love is the fact that the meats stay nice and moist when cooked to our liking. Everything cooks fast and easy. It only takes less than ten minutes to get fully heated. Because it does such a great job grilling, we cannot justify spending tons more on a fancy gas or charcoal grill.

Great Electric Grill!

Have used small gas grills for years but needed an electric grill for the condo. Have owned this one for about 3 weeks and have cooked burgers and wings on it thus far. Learning to control the temperature has been pretty simple. It gives off grease smoke as well as any gas grill we have owned. The heat control is pretty accurate and simple. You can put aluminum foil under the burner and it catches any grease that falls below the burner tray which will help keep the bottom of the grill clean. I have read other comments about needing to replace the electric burner after about a year due to shorts and GFI trips. But I found the burner tray easy to remove and clean off in order to prevent build-up and shorts. I may order a spare burner just to have on the shelf in the event a replacement is eventually needed. I also found assembly to be pretty simple as well. Flare ups are actually less frequent than my gas grills. So overall I would say this has been a good purchase so far and I would recommend it wherever a small grill is needed.

Better than expected

I like it. Cooks steak and chicken breasts perfectly, so moist and done through and through. Best of all no propane tank to mess with, just plug it in to 110. I even take it camping. No sense in being without one.

Perfect grill while temp living in apartment that doesn!t allow gas or charcole grils. This will continue to get plenty of use after we are settled in a house. Right size for a quick grilled meal for acouple or even when "home alone".

SMALL PACKAGE BIG RESULTS

This is my second Meco electric grill. I moved across the county and left the first one with my son. He uses it all the time, and it's more than 20yrs old. I just had to have another I missed it's fine performance. Keep up the good work Meco!!!

This is my second Meco grill. The 1st grill lasted 12 years before the heating element stopped heating. This is the only electric grill with a rotisserie option which I use often. A well made product.

Great electric grill

We live in a condo so we could only have an electric BBQ. We've had a few and this is the best one (it's actually a replacement - we had the first one for 3 years) The only fault I have with this unit is that the reflective heating pan on the bottom is difficult to remove to clean each time we use it. Other than that, we love it!

Great Electric Barbeque

I am usually cooking just for myself and wanted an electric grill that would give me the flavor of a charcoal grill without all the hassle. This really fits my needs. I just received it; therefore, I have only used it twice. I am looking forward to many years of use for myself and for family when they visit. I would give it a five except I have a very difficult time removing the reflector pan for cleaning.

The added feature of the lowering and raising of the grill is unnessary and makes the knob so flimsy. Our knob broke the first time using it. We taped it up---and it cooks wonderful but I'm sure it won't last long. We bought it for when we travel and stay in condos, but use it at home for along side of our gas grill.
