We got these clothes pins for a craft project for the kids room. We are using some of them to hold photos on a string across the wall. I've also seen some cool crafts where you can make them into a wreath. These seem to be of good quality and were a good price. 50 has gone a long way so far.

Holding together

These clothespins are functional and they look pretty holding flowers that I have hanging in my kitchen.

I believe these would be great to use for crafts. The wood is smooth and can be written on with a sharpie marker.

Classic Good Looking Clothespins

Love these clothes pins. We use them for crafts, hanging up laundry and we use them to close up food bags. They work perfectly well to close up potato chip bags, crackers and even french fry bags. I put them on my clothes hangers to hold shirts on the hangers. The use for clothespins is amazing. These clothespins are good quality too. Highly recommend.

Small but mighty

We were happy to review the Mainstays wood clothespins in exchange for our honest review. OK so what can you say about a clothespin? - well plenty lol. These babies are really made well with a solid feel. The spring is really strong so no slippage or falling off the lines. These can hold a pair of large mens jeans on the line without any problems! Simple to use, great price and quality feel.
We would recommend these Mainstays wood clothespins to anyone.

Strong, Well Made Clothespins!

I needed these for crafts. The wooden ones hold paint much better than the plastic ones and I have craft board all over the house for my 5 year old for chores and learning. The plastic ones we tried earlier don't stick well with the magnetic tape, too smooth and painting them after wasn't an option. My 5 year old painted her chore ones pink and green. Pink for not done, green for done. The word list ones she just kept plain. She loves being ables to move her cards from one side to the other by herself. I looked really hard trying to find wooden ones specifically for this purpose. For crafts purposes these are wonderful. I haven't used them to hang clothes or anything because I live in Ohio and its still winter here until June.

Good quality

These are your basic wooden clothes pins. However, the spring in them is far better than most. 
I hung up several types of clothes from light weight to jeans to blankets. The clothespins held the laundry securely and never did pop off. We have very hard winds where I live, and none of the clothespins popped off. The lightweight laundry did not move at all. With the heavier items, there was a slight movement of the pins, but they held fast. 
I tried pulling the clothes off without opening the pins and most barely moved or just slightly but not coming apart or changing position on the line. 
Many times clothespins move sideways to come apart easily. These did not.

Excellent spring action

My mom's clothespins are at least 65 years old and if these last half that long what a deal, 50 for 1.00 dollar. They're made from ash which is a good hardwood that won't stain your clothes and if they do get dirty just wash them off. The spring is galvanized so it will last many years. Like the saying goes, if ain't broke don't fix it, the design hasn't changed and they still work great. Use them for hanging your clothes or for crafts, I've even seen them used in saddle making.

Not just for hanging clothes anymore.

I was grew up using wooden clothes pins as a staple in my house.  Yes, I am from the era of hanging your clothes out to dry in the backyard, in the fresh air, instead of wasting our precious energy using an electric or gas dryer.  I try my best to utilize our God-given Wonders --- in this case... HEAT.  Yup, it's 109 degrees here today; yesterday it was 114 (a record-breaker).  So I had already set up a clothesline in my garage (a travel clothesline), placed some items in my dishwasher, then hung them to dry using these wonderful wooden clothes pins (see my pics).  My items dried in ten minutes on my clothesline in the garage.  I plan to also use these for my SHORTS to hang-dry.  I don't have any of those fancy hangers with clips with me, so I will use these to secure my Skorts on the hangers I brought with me, to hang-dry (in my garage 0n the temp clothesline), along with my other delicate exercise apparel, which is too delicate to run through a dryer.

CON's 
They do NOT sell this same pack online.  Because of this, it took me weeks to finally get to my local Walmart and buy them.

Been needing WOODEN CLOTHESPINS  F-o-r-e-v-e-r !!

I have to start by saying I am a clothespin nut! I use them for so many things! They are great for pinching my curtains to vary the look inside my house. I use them for actually hanging clothes. I use them to keep open bags of EVERYTHING sealed (frozen foods, chips, bags of salad, etc.) I also had a crafty little moment where I strung ribbon and attached individual serving sized chips onto the ribbon with clothespins for a party and it was super cute. These clothespins are rust proof (have yet to have any of them rust despite freezer or fridge storing while using). It also says the wood is stain proof and I can honestly say I have never had one ruined because I made a mess and a clothespin got yucky; I just rinse them, dry them, and they always still look nice. Really like that they come in a fifty pack! They are well organized so getting them out of the packaging is easy. Overall, I love clothespins for so many things, and the Mainstays are GREAT! Awesome price, amazing product, good quality! I definitely recommend these for all of your home projects…as well as hanging laundry!

Handy

This clothespin seems to be made of a good quality wood with a firm spring to hold clothes on a line. The concern that I have would be if the wood will be able to hold up after being in the weather elements for an extended period of time and if the spring will resist rust. Overall I believe that it is a good choice but maybe nut the greatest choice.
