A famous photographer friend made a 20 x30 print at Costco for me, so I needed to scramble for a frame. I found this online at Wally World and took a chance, especially since I did it via Site to Store, which I hate, since it always takes forever. When I received the frame, it came in a separate shipping box that was 3" thick which protected it well, since the outer shipping box had had some abuse. It was noticibly light when I picked it up, because I was expecting glass. Well, no glass, but 1.5mm plexi which was protected by the full shrink wrap the frame came in. There are small tabs on the back you bend out and my 20x30 print fit perfectly. Normally I clean the 'glass', but it was pristine so I did not bother. The frame really made my print pop. The backing is plain corrugated cardboard, with pressed in fittings for both vert and horz hanging. All in all, I would say mission accomplished. Someone viewing the print on my wall would have no idea the frame was $16.97 and the facing was plastic. But it would not tolerate any abuse since it is so light duty, but for hanging on the wall, it is great. I would recommend this frame on a budget.

This is a good basic frame, but if you are concerned about trimming off part of your 20"x30" image, you might want to make sure that the part you want to be able to view is about 19"x29" or even less.

    • A. well its difficult to answer a subjective question like this. It is somewhat flexible I would say. It is very light and easy to move it around to transport and hang. But you need to be sort of careful with it as it is flexible. Its just plastic.

    • A. This frame is solid, it is not flimsy or flexible in my opinion. It is a quality product for the price. My framed maps look very nice. The frame is well worth the expense.

    • A. it is glued to the frame but you can probably pry it off if you want to only use the frame. Be careful though as the frame is plastic and might pull apart at the corners.

I am creating poster prints to frame and I could leave a half inch or so white margin all e way around, within the 20x30 size so that the frame is cutting off the edges of the photo. Can anyone give the measurement of how much the frame covers all the way around?
    by an anonymous customer 6/9/2011

    • A. The frame itself is thin and will not cover up any parts of your photos. If you leave the white margins around the edges you will be fine not covering up any of the remaining photo. For the price it really is a very attractive looking frame - I couldn't find any frames this size for such a great price - and they were wrapped very nicely in shipping so they arrived in perfect shape. Hope that helps - good luck!

    • A. Well I am using 20x30 prints on Kodak paper as the come from the lab they fit perfect. I would guess about 1/8" is covered on the edges all around. It is no where near 1/4" though.

    • A. I had to adjust my maps, but had plenty of margin on the map itself to work with as my maps weren't a perfect 20x30 measurement. The actual "showing" measurement of the maps after framing is 19.5 x 29.5. And they look great. Nothing was cropped off.
