Really love this scale. First, its slim, gorgeous and lightweight. Just take it out of package and work as easy as that.  Now I can weight what I eat to have a much better understanding of how much i am eating and stick to better eating habit. The numbers are clear on the scale and gives precise amount. Really great scale.

It’s a nice slim and sleek scales. Doesn’t take up too much room on the counter and is easily stored away. Looks good the design is clean so it looks good on your counter top. This handy and sleek kitchen scale has taken the guess work out of the kitchen with my meals. No more guessing the weight of my fruits and veggies are and has helped get my macros correct with knowing exactly how much meat I'm using. Wipes clean easily and has a handy hanging tan on the back to make easy access a cinch.

This is a good kitchen scale to weigh my foods. I'm eating healthier  and my doctor said its always good to weigh some of my foods and this works perfectly for me. Its nice and small easy to put away in the cabinet when I'm not using it. Plus its lightweight and easy for kids to use too. So if your looking for a good scale this is it.

Perfect for my needs

Mainstays black slim glass digital kitchen scale works really well. Perfect for your everyday kitchen needs.  The display is very easy to read, it has tare feature, it weighs items up to 11 pounds. The tempered glass feature makes it easy to maintain and clean. Directions are easy to follow, this scale is very simple to use.  A quality scale at an affordable price , I would recommend.

Easy to read and use

The Mainstays Black Slim Glass Digital Kitchen Scale is definitely slim, smaller, and doesn't take up much space. The black matches the rest of my kitchen and it works beautifully. I am able to simply store it it conveniently by sliding it beside the microwave and it takes up so little space because of its very slim design. It is a great kitchen scale.

This scale seems to work as expected. That said, the included instructions aren’t exactly clear. If you already know how to use a digital kitchen scale, you should be fine. If you are a first timer and need instructions, however, you might want to do a quick YouTube search for “how to use a digital kitchen scale” before you proceed. It’s slightly intuitive, but I can imagine some first timers could find it challenging initially.

That said, it’s sleek-looking and doesn’t stand out and yell for attention in a modern kitchen. It could easily slip into a drawer and out of sight. The weight numbers are large and easy to read, but some people might have a harder time with the smaller letters, indicating whether you’re measuring in ounces or grams, etc.

The box repeatedly says “2 AAA batteries (included),” but they weren’t. That’s not a deal breaker, but if you were anticipating the batteries to be included, you’ll be disappointed.

Overall, it’s nothing special, but it should get the job done… “up to 11 lbs,” as per the packaging.

If you already know how to use a digital scale…

I've been using kitchen scales in my kitchen for a number of years now and have tried different ones over the years. I liked the look of this slim kitchen scale with a tempered glass surface by Mainstays and wanted to give it a try and overall, I am happy enough with its performance though it could do with a couple small improvements.
I like the digital touchscreen which eliminates the need for raised buttons or crevices. This not only enhances the scale's aesthetic appeal but also makes cleaning super simple. The smooth, flush surface of the tempered glass can be easily wiped down, leaving no room for crumbs or residue to accumulate.
The scale offers a variety of measurement options, catering to different needs. You can switch between grams, milliliters for water and milk, ounces by weight, ounces by water volume, ounces by milk volume, and physical pounds and ounces. This versatility is advantageous for bakers who rely on precise measurements for their recipes. Personally, I find it a little cumbersome to have to cycle through so many different units of measurement when all I usually use is standard grams or pounds and ounces. I'd like it if there was an extra button to switch it into baking units so that I wouldn't have to cycle through all the baking units when I just want to use the scale in my kitchen to measure out standard weights. Still, I can see the value of being able to measure milliliters and ounces of water or milliliters and ounces of milk, I just don't happen to use those baking measurements that often.
I like the touch buttons integrated into the surface. Although it took some getting used to, the scale effectively registers the weight even when pressing the buttons. So when you tare the weight back to zero, it first registers the weight of your finger pushing the tare button. The convenience of having the entire surface as a flush, flat area outweighs this small peculiarity. Cleaning becomes effortless, and the scale maintains its sleek appearance.
The tare mode function took me a minute to figure out. When you turn the scale on, the unit will be in “scale weight mode“. So any weight you add to it and then tare it, it will tare back to zero without remembering the tally of the individual separate weights. If, however, you put a bowl on the scale after it's been turned on and then tare it back to zero, it will enter “tare mode”. Now every time you add something to the bowl and tare it, it will tally up the total weights until you clear the scale off completely. I show this in a visual example in my included video. The problem is, there's not a “clear” button to clear the tally or to reset the tare mode back to zero. So for instance, if I put a bowl on the scale and want to enter tear mode, I can't do that without also including the weight of the bowl. Which doesn't make any sense to me because it doesn't give me the option to zero out the weight of the bowl while still being able to tally up the individual measurements going into the bowl. I took off a star for that.
In terms of size, this kitchen scale strikes a perfect balance. It is neither too large nor too small, making it ideal for any kitchen countertop. Its compact design ensures it won't take up unnecessary space while remaining easily accessible whenever you need it. 
One final thing, I wish it had a backlit screen that I could turn on or off. It's not always easy to see the numbers in a low light environment.
Overall, this is an attractive digital scale that is by far the easiest to clean of any scale I've owned. I'd like it if it was a little more programmable with a “clear” button or maybe if it had another button to make switching into baking units an option rather than a standard, and I wish it had a backlit screen for better visibility, but for it's good looks and easy cleanable surface, I can overlook that.

Very nice looking scale, simple and functional

I like this kitchen scale. It is a cood size without being too big. It can hold a typical cereal bowl size without blocking the display. The scale does not have a backlight like many others that I have used in the past. It seems to be accurate. It uses 2 AAA batteries and comes with a set.

The Mainstays Slim Digital Kitchen Scale measures about 8 inches by 6 inches by 1 inch. This kitchen scale uses 2 AAA batteries which were included. The maximum capacity of this scale is 5000g/11lb. 

What I like about the Mainstays Slim Digital Kitchen Scale is the slim design. My previous kitchen scales were bulky and took up too much space. I also appreciate that this kitchen scale can measure liquids using fluid ounces or mL and it can measure in grams or pounds. I also appreciate it that it automatically shuts off after 3 minutes of non-use. 

What I do not like about the Mainstays Slim Digital Kitchen Scale is that it can be difficult to read the numbers in low lighting. I wish it either had a back light or that the numbers on the scale lit up.

Overall, the Mainstays Slim Digital Kitchen Scale has a nice slim design and will come in handy in my kitchen.
