This review is about the Mainstays stainless steel straw set. The set that I have includes 5 pieces: 4 reusable stainless steel drinking straws, and 1 cleaning brush. Each straw is approximately 10.5 inches long in total, and the cleaning brush is about 9.5 inches long. Each straw has a 3.5 inch silicone grip that is removable from the other 7 inches of stainless steel straw. This is a cool feature for comfortability. I would suggest adult supervision for small children when using this item. It is recommended that these straws are washed by hand only. The stainless steel is durable. The silicone grips have a slight bend for easy use. The Mainstays reusable stainless steel drinking straws are modern and convenient. The straws are lightweight and the opening is medium sized. These straws are good to use with smoothies and other cold drinks this season. The 4 different straws have different colored grips, soft pink, soft blue, white, and black are the colors included in the set that I have. I would like to clarify that the silicone grips attachment is at the top of the straw where one sips from. The cleaning brush has soft bristles that are gentle on the straws surface when cleaning. The Mainstays stainless steel drinking straws are very well crafted.

Modern straw set

These straws are nice and environmentally friendly. No need to buy those straws you only use once creating more plastic garbage. These are easy to wash, and take apart. The rubber top comes off easily from the metal straw and comes with a little brush to clean inside the straw. Made a smoothie and this straw was used. The liquid comes out effortlessly. Would recommend. Why buy disposable straws when you can re use these.

Environment friendly straws

The 5pcs Stainless Steel Straw Set is great it comes with 4 straws and a brush the straws also have rubber on the top of the straw which I appreciate I feel that it is important to have and they do come off for easy cleaning and the straw brush is long enough to clean the whole straw

Good

I really like these straws. I drink smoothies everyday and these straws are not only longer than most of the straws you can buy but they're also wider so that if my smoothie has some fruit in it it doesn't get clogged up. The colored sleeves on the straws are made of silicones so they're easy to pop off and just wash my hand. The set also includes a brush for you to get way up in the straw and get it totally cleaned out. These are great and you can even throw them in the dishwasher if you want to because they're stainless steel. I do remove the silicone sleeves from the top off

Larger straws than most!!

These work well with us to bring along places that may not have straws half straws. They're easy to clean with the cleaner brush that comes with them. They are easy to use just like a normal straw and the convenience of being able to take them with us makes it much better.

Carry Along

I'll be honest I was never really a fan of stainless steel straws. Just wasn't for me. However with having the silicone tips on the end, was all that was missing. It's not super cold when drinking and sensitive to my lips. It's comfortable to me, no weird tastes. It's a 5 piece set, 4 straws and a straw cleaner. Long enough to clean the inside well. I only use just a dab of dishwashing liquid and never put in the dishwasher. They are good enough size for my drinking cups. Very well made. I have no complaints.

Reusable

I actually wasn't planning on using these reusable straws, but my favorite plastic bendy straws are no longer available. Turns out, these reusable straws are actually pretty nice. I was already rinsing and cleaning the last few disposable plastic straws we had, so cleaning this reusable isn't a big change from that. The soft tip seems to be like a silicone. It's very flexible and nice to use. I was worried that the stainless metal tube would be too heavy or make the straw harder to use. The metal tube is sturdy, but not at all heavy. I also like that there are a variety of colors on the straw tips. Everyone in the house will claim their favorite color to use. So, while I really didn't think I wanted to convert to reusable straws, they're just fine and work well.

They work well!

I like these straws. They're a good addition to any travel cup. They're long enough to fit in taller cups. I really like that they came with a cleaning wand because I worry about bacteria getting trapped in the straws. The rubber top also comes off for easy cleaning. You really can't go wrong with these. I think the only negative is that the silicone part can feel a little odd when drinking.

Decent straws

The reusable Stainless Steel straws are really nice especially if you have kids and are concerned about the environment. The straws come with colored rubber tips so the kids can pick a color they like. I've also used the stainless steel straws for an elderly friend who had a lot of trouble picking up cups or glasses to drink. The straws also come with a perfect size brush for cleaning so you can be sure they are cleaned throughly.

Great reusable straws

This is a reusable stainless steel straw set from the brand Mainstays. It contains for stainless steel straws with a silicone grip and one cleaning brush. The straws are 10.5 in Long and are angled at the top to make it easier to drink from. The package was difficult to open when I went to try the product. I suggest using a pair of scissors to open the package near the stainless steel straws. The stainless steel cleaning brush is used to insert into the metal straws. It has a tiny loop on the end so you can use it as a handle. It is shorter than the straws, however I think it should be much longer in order to clean the straws more thoroughly. The only instructions on the back say to hand wash only, and I wish they would include how to use the stainless steel straw. I found that putting it into the very bottom of the stainless steel part was the easiest, however since the silicone tops do not have metal underneath them, they are much more difficult to clean with the brush because once you insert the brush inside it does not want to come back out. Therefore, I can see it ripping the silicone grips in the future. The silicone grips can be removed from the stainless steel metal I just pulling up on them. When I tried drinking from them, I found that they are long enough, however I do think it possesses a tiny metal flavor because of the straw. I also think that it is kind of awkward that the silicone does not have stainless steel underneath it and it's not firm. It is different than a regular straw and makes it weird to drink from. These can be nice if you want reusable straws if you want to be environmentally friendly, which I like. However, I was not impressed that the silicone was not firm and the metal brush was slightly hard to use with the silicone grips. I also don't know if these straws are rust proof, which worries me, especially since there is no way to prevent that from being ingested. Overall, I don't recommend these straws.

Weird Silicone Mouth Piece

I did not receive this item in my delivered order and I request a full refund of $4.98. Walmart is the worst store to receive a refund from!
