This lamp only needs one bulb and it will use up to 100 watt It will come with a bulb included

one bulb and only 25 watts max if you use a compact florescent that's equivalent to at least a 100 watt bulb and it is okay to use .

Its not metal, its cheap plastic with glued in thread plugs.

I've had it for a while now with no problems. The people that said that probably didn't make sure it was put together tightly. Mine is sturdy, but don't put heavy stuff on it, just whatknots or so. I have a fountain on mine with some whatknots. I wouldn't call it metal. I can pick it up by myself with ease.

It is made of durable plastic. It can be cut to be shorter, but I'm not sure it wouldn't be obviously altered. For the price and size it would be cheaper to have someone build one out of wood.

Yes this could be put together with one shelf and a set of legs taken out. That would not be a problem.

It sure can, It's for sections if you count the lamp shade section...If you desire you can assemble it from 1 - 4 sections, your choice

Yes, you could build it with any number of the shelves, they all attach the same way, so it would be easy to omit a level.

You could leave a shelf out of the stack if you un-solder the connection, or cut and later crimp splice or other wise reconnect the wires (Leave the plug end alone, as it is molded).

Yeah you can, just pitch one of the shelves and 4 long rods.
This product is garbage though, I don't recommend it if you actually want to set anything on it.

I needed a lamp that would be from the floor and have shelves. This is the right size. It was very easy to put together. I really like the tie plastic that came with it. Everything that you need came with it plus some. My telephone fits good on a shelve. The light bulb came with it and it very bright and a friendly user. This is the one!!!

I love this lamp. It gives off a smooth ambiance with the lamp shade. I would not recommend putting heavy books on the shelves, just whatknots or small items. But it is beautiful and made a big difference in the look of my living room. It is easy to put together. It took me about 10 min or less.

Great Purchase

1. It was very easy to put together, (WARNING) Do not over tighten when putting it together, just get it snug.
2. Its plenty strong enough, (REMEMBER) each shelf has a weight capacity, the top is 1lb and middle is 5lbs, they look the same so dont get it confused.
3. (TIP) Put something heavy on the bottom shelf and it help keep the lamp steady.
4. I've read comment about the pull chain breaking, I dont know how fragile it is (SUGGESTION) pull it carefully and it will be fine.
5. Plenty of lamp light for my 450 sq. ft. living room.

Now go out and buy some cool things to put on the shelves and enjoy this beautiful lamp, I'm getting another one the best part was the price...it is comparable to more pricey wood lamps.

This was by far the best lamp/bedside table ever made (for me). I have a king size bed that takes up most of the wall leaving no room for a table, and there was only the ceiling light in the room, but this fantastic item solved both my problems at the same time...and I LOVE IT!!!!!
