I didn't measure how thick the rugs was, but it's study and a bit thicker than most smaller area rugs. It's a woven material.

I think it could be cut with some sheet metal shears, the carpet part is thickest, maybe 3/8 inch.

It's more a woven brown/tan mix. I like it because it doesn't show dirt easily. I use them in heavy walking areas and the inside porch area.

It is a dark brown with some white woven into it.

The Mainstays Simply Awesome Doormat has been a welcome addition to our doorsteps. The size was perfect for the landing area of our stairwell. The bottom side is made up of a black vinyl material that does a good job of weighing down the mat and also preventing it from sliding around. When it gets wet, the water does take longer to dry under there, but this would probably be the case with any outdoor mat. The top of the mat has a low-pile outdoor carpet like material. It has a little squish to it. It has held up well to us brushing our shoes off before entering the home. I found that the doormat has been easy to clean. I usually just shake it off or hit it on the floor a couple times to get rid of the dirt and leaves that get caught on it. The dark brown, tan and golden fibers do a good job of hiding most of the grime. I believe this mat will hold up well over the years and it has not shown any signs of fading. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a basic mat for their doorsteps.

Resilient doormat

Mainstays Simply Awesome Doormat, 
This is a nice mat, I like the colors and the material, the top side catch well dust and mulch.
My favorite part which was not on many other mats I tried before, is the back black side material. it makes the mat heavier on the ground and prevent it from moving.

It does a great job keeping my home clean

This is an excellent door mat for the size and $. It is rubber-backed carpet with a wide rubber lip around the edges. Durable and attrative (it comes in two colors) I have these around all the doors of my home.

Okay, so when I unwrapped this rug, I wasn't so sure if it would be all that great on the floor. I have a newly remodeled house and I wasn't sure if it would match the rest of the house. Turns out, this Mainstays Simply Awesome Doormat is awesome! It looks and works great! Here are somethings to note about this doormat:

* It's a good size... measures 18 inches by 30 inches (45.7 cm x 76.2 cm). For my house, that's a little small for a main entrance, but perfect for back door and garage door entrances when I don't have that much space for a big doormat. 
* The mixture of colors (black, brown, tan) helps easily hide dirt and things that might get dropped on it. 
* Easy to shake out and clean. 
* Stain resistant. I tested grape juice on it and it came right out. The fibers are synthetic so it's easy to clean because the stains don't soak in. 
* The back layer is waterproof and does a great job protecting the floor underneath.
* Lightweight and easy to handle for cleaning and replacement.
* Not too slippery. Stays put on a luxury vinyl flooring.
* Backing is black. 

Great - yes - simply awesome - doormat.

Actually looks really great!

This mat is cute and neutral and looks
great in my garage. I also considered
putting it in my kitchen, but I needed 
a cute mat for the garage. It captures 
dirt, to help keep your home clean.
Also, it's good quality but it is not a
Heavy duty mat. It's pretty light weight.
If you put this outside, it most certainly
will blow away.

Indoors/Garage Pnly

This is the second rug like this that I have gotten. The first lasted about a year and a half outside before the pile started getting fuzzy. It isn't super cute but functions well!

Standard rug

Smaller than I was hoping even though I did measure first. The color on here is not even close to being right... it's a brown rug with lighter colored tan threads woven through. I'll try to to post a pic later.
Other then that it works great for muddy feet the solor hides the dirt well. It's rubber backed so it doesn't slide around but you will have to put something heavy on it to get the kinks out after unrolling it from the store.

It's easy to clean, just shake or vacuum". The vinyl backing is black with tan & light brown weaving on top, it's a nice looking mat. It's 1'6'' x 2'6" , and pretty thin, I plan on using it on the outside, but not sure how long the vynal will last when the temperatures reach the upper 90's for weeks at a time, things tend to get kinda brittle not sure if it will curl up or not, I guess we will see. It doesn't dry too fast after a rain, there is no way for it to drain through the vynal, so the weaving on top stays wet for just a short while. Overall it's a good mat, and should last a few good years.

cute rug

I received the Mainstays 1'6'' x 2'6 Simply Awesome Doormat, for free in exchange for my honest opinion as part of the Walmart Spark Review Program.
Not sure I'd call this Simply Awesome, more like simply average. It is rather small--it does not take up the entire door frame space. 
I do like the carpet top. It is rubber on the perimeter. I am using it in a classroom, so we'll see if it holds up.
