The Made by Me Glow in the Dark Power Balls Kit come with the ingredients and very simple instructions to follow to help the children make their own balls. My kit was used in a Sunday School class and the kids seemed to really enjoy being able to make their own. I would definitely recommend this kit to anyone with kids. The hands on experience of creating something and then being able to play with it is a great experience for youngers and creates good quality time to spend together while they are still young.

DIY bouncy balls

This Made By Me Glow in the Dark Power Balls Kit is super fun! My two sons were so excited to make them. I was probably just as excited as they were. It is very simply and it comes with easy to follow instructions that tell you what to do step by step. The kit comes with everything you need, you just need to add water. It comes with enough supplies to make several balls. It comes with two different shaped molds. There is a basic round ball mold and another that it like a octagon type shape. It comes with 2 bags of glow in the dark powder and then several bags of different colors of powers. It comes with white, yellow, orange, pink, blue, green, and red. It's very easy to make the balls. You simply snap the 2 sized of the mold together and then pour whatever colors of power into the mold that you want. You then place the powder filled mold into a cup of warm water for 10 minutes. After 10 mins you carefully take it out and let it sit for another 10 minutes. Then you are ready to remove the mold from.your ball the balls do have to dry a little bit because they are a little sticky at first. They were a lot of fun to make and choosing different colors and designs was fun too. My kids loved it and the balls bounce very well and glow in the dark. This is such a great idea and a lot of fun for the whole family.

Super Fun!

We got these Made by Me Glow in the Dark Power Balls Kit and it really came with a lot of colors such as blue, green, orange, pink and purple and yellow granules. Then it came with 2 packages of glow granules. It also came with a green octagonal type shape mold and a blue mold for the shape of the bouncy ball. I read directions carefully. I then tried to put the mold pieces together. At first I had trouble until I realized the prongs go on the outside of the other piece to hold them on and they snapped together nicely. Next when filling the molds it says not to fill into the funnel part, but I would leave a bit more room as the granules expand with the warm water. I made them with just a bit too much as some expanded out to the funnel part. Later after 10 minutes of soaking in warm water I pulled them out to sit and let sit in the molds for 15 minutes on a napkin. Then I removed the mold and they were still wet. It is best to set these on something like wax paper or a hard surface that won't get stuck to the balls. It took more like about 20 or 30 minutes before they were dry enough but they bounce really good and do glow in the dark. I had mixed 3/4 regular color granules and 1/4 glow granules but it could use a bit more to glow more. They really turned out cool. My 4, 8 and 14 year old had a blast! Plus you can make so many bouncy balls and make them multi colored too. Very easy kit to use. Definitely recommend. 
I did get to try this for free through the Spark review program but the opinions here are based on our own experiences.

Really works but takes longer to set and dry

My kids had so much fun making these power balls! Instructions are clear and easy to understand. There is an array of colors to chose from and two different molds to use. The making of the balls only took around 15 minutes (5 minutes to fill mold and 10 minutes to harden). Very easy to take out of the mold and play with. Balls keep their shape and look very cool. Not as bouncy as we thought they would be, but fun to play with nonetheless. Great to keep kids occupied on a rainy day.

Easy to make and fun to play with

Let us start off with my biggest gripe. The packaging. I do not understand why such a small package has to come with such a large amount of cardboard. It is honestly so wasteful and I wish they would have used a much smaller box. The product itself is pretty cool. The colors are pretty vibrant, and they had both green and white glow in the dark which was nice. I kinda wish all the colors would have been glow in the dark though, because mixing with the others really takes away from the glow. The forms are really hard to snap together, they have to be lined up just perfectly and have to snap together completely to work. It does say in the directions after they soak for 10 minutes let them dry for 10 minutes. They get harder as they dry, and can still be moldable while they're solidifying so leave them go while they sit. My son made the mistake of throwing one on the floor while it was still tacky and its stuck with fuzz now, so avoid that. The colors look really pretty together, and I wish they had added more shapes for the molds. But it's a nice kit regardless.

Makes great bouncy balls

My kids loved creating bouncy balls and being able to combine different colors to display their creativity. It comes with two molds, and 18 packets of color. There were 8 (2sets) different colors and two glow in the dark mixture. The packets are made up of crystallized sand that the kiddos would pour into a small mold. The downfall is that this can get messy when all the granulated crystal fall. Also, this project does require some heating for the crystallized molds to solidify in water and also for the actual bouncy ball to dry. It would be easier if there were more than two molds. But my kids really loved doing this project and being able to see the transformation from granulated crystals to a formed bouncy ball with all the colors they have chosen. Also, it's great that they are able to create a ton of these balls and share them with their friends.

Bouncy ball fun

Everyone loves bouncy balls. What is even better than a bouncy ball? Making your own bouncy ball! This set comes with 2 bouncy ball molds. One mold is for a typical round bouncy ball, the other is for a more hexagon ball. It also comes with 16 bags of crystals. There are 2 of each color, white, neon yellow, neon green, neon orange, neon pink, purple, light blue, and light pink. Set also comes with 2 bags of glow in the dark crystals, they are white and neon green. Pay close attention to which ones are the glow in the dark crystals, the only way to tell the difference between them and the regular crystals are they have a letter G sticker stuck onto them.

One of the negative things about this toy is the molds are quite difficult to get snapped together perfectly. When you snap it together make sure the tabs are on the outside. Even with the tabs perfectly lined up and the ball part of the mold lined up it made the top funnel part not be even. Which is ok, because that part is not the part that matters for forming the shape of the ball. It is just annoying that the whole mold does not go together perfectly. The hexagon shaped mold fits together better than the round one does. 

Once you have the mold pieces together, as perfectly as you can get them, you pour in your desired colored crystals. The funnel top allows for this with some easy. Its easier if you just cut a very small slit in the corner of the crystal package to be able to pour it into the mold. For my younger kids it was easier for us to use our very tiny kitchen funnel to pour the crystals into the mold. Only fill the mold to the top of the round part, filling any further will prevent the ball from bouncing. Once filled with crystals hold the mold inside of a cup and fill with warm water. This part takes two people, kid holding the mold and parent filling cup with warm water from another cup. Fill cup till water covers the top of the ball mold, then let the mold sit in the warm water for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes take the mold out of the water and let it sit for 10 more minutes. Then you can open the mold and take your ball out. You will probably need to let the balls sit for 10-15 more minutes to finish drying out.

Bounce is ok. These are not super rubber bouncy balls, but they are a fun bouncy toy for kids to play with still. Part of the draw for this toy is being able to design and make your own ball.
Fun little project to do with kids, as long as they do not have high expectations for a super amazing bouncy ball afterwards/

Who doesn't love a bouncy ball?

The kids were not so pleased with the Power Balls. The kit came with only two small molds and they were very hard to keep together to pour the crystals in. It took a couple seconds to put the crystals in the mold and then per the directions wait 20 minutes. However an hour later and they are still sticky. They do look good and there are several bags of crystals to make several more. Although it is a good activity to get the kids together, it took way to long to get to play with them. I would not recommend this product.

Not so Super-balls

Box is crushed and opened  not sure everything is even in the box. Was shipped in a bag not a box and was left in the rain.

Don't have it shipped

Very frustrating these take so long to set %26 the  molds did not stay together; I am concerned that after we made them I kept them in a plastic bag and when I went to give them to my grandson to play with there was black mold all over them!
