    Best you can buy Not only is this Dutch Oven American made but It's far superior than other Imported cast iron on the market. This 5 quart oven is perfect for cooking a five pound whole chicken with potatoes, onions and carrots with a little bit of room to spare. The chicken will be falling of the bone when done and taste close to rotisserie chicken if seasoned right. Highly recommended. 08/24/2011
    an execellent product I have many cast iron cooking products. I use the dutch oven for frying fish for large groups. I use it to fry my hush puppies as well. While it comes pre seasoned I always season it even more by rubbing it down inside and out with cooking oil and placeing it upside down in an oven at 350 degrees for an additional two hours before using the first time. The inside will become smoother and smoother with every use...Keep it lightly oiled all the time...it will last you a lifetime and help make you a fish fry chef in no time. 06/06/2010
    Loved it bought this for a specific purpose and needed quickly. delivered within the time promised and ready to go, that is one of the reason I purchased it (already seasoned). made a pork roast in it for christmas and it came out great. the dutch oven holds in the heat all around so there was no uneven cooking. clean up was pretty good, nothing stuck; had to remember to re season the pot and after I did that it looked like i pulled it out of the package. lodge is a very good brand with a long history of quality products. 01/07/2011
    Cast Iron is the best!!! My parents have always had cast iron products and this last year I've been able to cook more and found that the dutch oven was the one thing lacking. The dutch oven is what I consider the original crock pot and I'm back to using that for my all day cooking.I don't know how I did without it and am glad it's back in my kitchen. You can't go wrong with this or any other cast iron product. 02/17/2010
